Als u een korte vakantie met Nature Place en Nice View in Noord-Sumatra nodig heeft, overweeg dan een privédagtocht naar de Brastagi, een gastvrij dorp genesteld in de koelere Karo Highlands. Deze tour biedt een kijkje in het landelijke Sumatraanse leven zonder het harde werk van het huren en besturen van een huurauto. Je zult genieten van verse lokale passievruchten en reizen tussen een traditioneel Karo Batak-dorp en de Sipisopiso-waterval, waar je kunt afkoelen in natuurlijke zwembaden, zonder je zorgen te maken over navigatie.

Je wordt rond 07.00 uur opgehaald bij je hotel in Medan om je rit langs de fascinerende route door de jungle naar het bergdorp Brastagi in de Karo Highlands te beginnen. Deze reis duurt ongeveer 2 uur in de auto. De eerste stop is berastagi Fruit Market .Brastagi heeft vulkanische vruchtbare grond die ideaal is voor het verbouwen van fruit zoals passievrucht, mangistan, Solanum Betaceum, sinaasappels en een verscheidenheid aan bloemen.
Een replica van de shwedagon-pagode in Myanmar bestaat al in Indonesië in de vorm van een replica van de pagode in Lumbini Nature Park. Dit lumbini-park werd voor het eerst gebouwd in 2007, tot 2010. Het is 46,8 meter hoog, 68 meter lang, ether en 68 meter breed. In Lumbini Park is er ook de hoogste pagode in Indonesië en ook de op een na hoogste in Zuidoost-Azië. Voor een oppervlakte van ongeveer 3 hectare die bestaat uit een tuin en daar staat ook deze pagode.
Je kunt vanaf deze plek ook het uitzicht op het Tobameer zien, leg je momenten vast op dit uitzicht op de waterval. De Sipiso-piso is een duikwaterval in de Batak-hooglanden van Sumatra, Indonesië. Het wordt gevormd door een kleine ondergrondse rivier van het Karo-plateau die uit een grot in de zijkant van de caldera van het Tobameer valt, ongeveer 120 meter naar het niveau van het meer.
Vervolgens rijden we naar het traditionele huis in Batak Karo Land. van Dokan waar nog steeds mensen wonen. In deze traditionele huizen, genaamd Djambur, bewonen 8 families één huis. Onder het huis leven runderen, varkens en waterbuffels. Je kunt een huis bezoeken en hun manier van leven zien.

every time i come in planning to try something new i end up getting the mango ice cream. it's that good. fresh, bright, not too sweet. the stone mixing folds in whatever you add without making a mess of it
We shared a meal with friends on the occasion of a birthday.This place is cozy, cozy and exudes comfort. The menu is succinct a fish and a meat few dessert choices either which suggests fresh cuisine. Main course menu , dessert: 49 Euros . The waiter points out that if you only take one dish it will cost you 30 Euros. It is clear that the staff is asked to help the customer order the whole menu. Bar biscuit accompanied by shells and small vegetables in very good brunoise , pea can , the accompanying sauces were excellent as well as desserts , coffee served with delicious sweets . Nothing wrong perfect setting with views of the Garonne a feast for the eyes.
I especially enjoyed the Batak home tour. The tour guide and the driver were fun to talk with. Ma, Jua jua!

It was a group of 25 friends. We landed in Medan on a tuesday morning. We visited the oldest church , then checked into our hotel. In d evening we went to the oldest hindhu temple in Medan. The next day, we left the city to go to Lake Toba. The view of the lake as we scaled the hills was so breathtaking. Then we started to descend to come alongside the lake. It is the largest, natural fresh water lake in Sumatra. After lunch we took a boat to an island in the middle of the lake. There we were given an insight into the tribal lifestyle of its inhabitants. Another 45 minute back over the lake and a bus ride up to our hotel was indeed remarkable and unforgettable.

Views of danau toba and sipiso waterfall were amazing. And the hilly countryside driving journey with glimpses of the highlands living environment and culture, vegetation, farms, animals, people, abodes, a thousand private graveyards, a million church buildings, cool weather with light drizzle together with the explanations by Bambang (guide) and Ravee (driver) made the experience magical.

Eco is a good guide but not much into exercise. When I opted to walk down to the pool at the bottom of Sipiso Piso Waterfall, he stayed in the parking area. His explanations of the geography, history and eruptions creating Lake Toba were very interesting, and his knowledge of anthopology and history of the peoples on Sumatra is impressive. Great way to see outside of Medan in a day. Getting out of Medan was good and the scenery is wonderful. Guide and driver were excellent.
