We nemen je mee door de prachtige stad Muscat, waar we eerst de grote moskee zullen bezoeken, die, naast een paar andere, een van de grootste 1-delige handgemaakte Iraanse tapijten ter wereld is. Het tapijt weegt maar liefst 21 ton en biedt plaats aan maximaal 20.000 gelovigen.
We zullen je rondleiden door de ministeries en het Royal Opera House-gebied dat de leidende kunst- en cultuurorganisatie is in het Sultanaat van Oman. De visie van het Opera House is om te dienen als een kenniscentrum op het gebied van wereldwijde culturele betrokkenheid
Bait Al Zubair is een museum, gelegen aan Al Saidiya Street, Old Muscat, Oman. Het museum heeft een uitgebreide collectie oude wapens, waaronder khanjar, huishoudelijke apparatuur en kostuums. Buiten het museum is een grootschalig Omani dorp en souk
Dit strand ligt in Al Qurm Area in het hart van Muscat en strekt zich uit over een groot gebied. Dit strand wordt beschouwd als een van de drukste in Muscat vanwege de ligging nabij winkelcentra en restaurants, maar het zal alleen een fotostop zijn.
Muttrah Souk is de volgende, waar u verschillende souvenirs kunt vinden en Muttrah Souk een van de oudste marktplaatsen in Oman die tweehonderd jaar oud is
Het Al Alam Palace "Paleis van de Vlag" is een paleis in Old Muscat, Oman. Het werd gebruikt als een ceremonieel paleis door Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. Een van de zes sultanische residenties van de vorst, heeft een geschiedenis van meer dan 200 jaar en werd gebouwd onder toezicht van imam Sultan bin Ahmed, de 7e directe grootvader van Sultan Qaboos.
Al Jalali Fort, of Ash Sharqiya Fort, is een fort in de haven van Old Muscat, Oman. Het fort werd in de jaren 1580 gebouwd door de Portugezen onder Filips I van Portugal om de haven te beschermen nadat Muscat tweemaal was geplunderd door Ottomaanse troepen. Het viel in 1650 in handen van Omaanse troepen. Tijdens de burgeroorlogen tussen 1718 en 1747 werd het fort tweemaal veroverd door Perzen die waren uitgenodigd om een van de rivaliserende imams te helpen. Het fort werd later uitgebreid herbouwd.
Fort Al-Mirani is een fort, oorspronkelijk gebouwd door de Portugezen, in de haven van de stad Old Muscat, Oman.

We had a wonderful day today visiting the Grand Mosque, Mutra souk, Parliament buildings,Al Zubair Museum and the cream was the visit to Royal Opera house. Our guide Amer, was really good fun to be with. He explained all the details of each place and made it a very memorable day for us. He was very good with taking pictures, helping us shop around in Mutra souk. He gave us a true taste of Oman by being so hospitable and making us try the Omani bread and the amazing Omani coffee with dates. We are very grateful for such a lovely day and we look forward to the rest of the trip. Thank you Sunshine tours !

The tour was organised with clear arrangements and an excellent guide who explained everything clearly. The admission fees were affordable, and the guide even helped us bargain at the souk — such a nice touch! Truly worth it!

We packed a lot into 8 hours with our expert guide Adil. He displayed good local knowledge, good English and a good sense of humour. Our tour covered all the itinerary items, with times spent at each set by us. Plus a few extras. We finished up watching wave surfers and doing donuts on the beach…

The tour comprised of sultan Qaboos grand mosque, mutrah souq and fort, and visit to national museum of Oman. The overall trip was very rewarding and I would definitely love to revisit these places again.
