Sultanahmet Camii, ook wel bekend als de Blauwe Moskee, is een van de meest magnifieke gebouwen in Turkije. Het gebouw is niet alleen een moskee, het is ook een sociaal wooncomplex. De naam komt van het met blauwe Iznik-tegels bedekte interieur van de moskee.
Hagia Sophia is het beroemdste gebouw in Istanbul. Hagia Sophia, de grootste kerk gebouwd door het Oost-Romeinse rijk in Istanbul, werd drie keer op dezelfde plaats gebouwd. Je zult 4 verbazingwekkende monumenten zien in het oude Hippodrome, dat het centrum was van het Byzantijnse burgerleven; Egyptische Obelisk, de Duitse fontein van Wilhelm II, Serpentine Column en Column of Constantine.

The tour was amazing! Our guide was Coşkun, his knowledge of the city’s history was truly impressive, and he explained everything in great depth while keeping it engaging and easy to understand. He was professional, friendly, and well organized throughout the day. He also shared fascinating historical details and local insights that we would never have discovered on our own.
Booking this private full-day cultural tour was the best decision we made for our trip. Our guide met us directly at our location and navigated us through the Old Town. We had a fabulous day exploring the very best of Istanbul's historic sites. Our guide also knew exactly where to avoid lines where possible and gave us excellent recommendations for authentic Turkish coffee and baklava.
This is mainly a walking tour where you will need a tram card to go site to site. It doesn't include entry anywhere not complimentary so your cost if you want to go in everywhere could be 5x or more. I'm sure it's guide dependent, but we had 3 70 year old's in our group and she was always way ahead of us, pictures seem to bother her. Mind you we skipped so much it we ended hours before we were supposed to. Big thing for me was she took us to an expensive tourist trap to eat lunch, food was terrible and ridiculously expensive. There were plenty of great restaurants nearby we went to in the coming days. I feel there were incentives for her to do that.
I would say this tour was ok. I felt our tour guide lack enthusiasm. I love with a tour guide loves what he is showing us. He didn't seem happy to be with us. He also was talking us out of things saying the money wasn't worth going in. The tour was supposed to be until 5 or 6 & I think we ended by 3 if that tells you anything.

Good tour and friendly guide, but to much sales without communicating that was the reason to go there. Also expensive selection for lunch location. More money than value overall.

Antea was a fabulous guide. Patient and knowledgeable. This tour is such good value considering it’s for your group only. You can completely tailor it to your liking. We paid entrance fees to visit the Bascilica Cistern - Antea was able to skip us to the front of the line at this location which was a bonus. We also paid entrance fees to the Topaki Palace - which was amazing and well worth it. There wasn’t really much of a line here as it was our first stop she was able to get what we needed much faster than we would have been able to. We skipped the blue mosque (we did the tour on a Friday which is when mosques are closed for the morning) so the line was huge. However we went early the next morning (opens at 8.30- we arrived at 8.10 and were first in line) We skipped the Hagia Sophia as it was also closed in the morning and under renovation. If we had wanted to line up at either of the places we skipped Antea would have been more than happy to do that with us. Highly recommend this tour and Antea especially. Ps. We did go to a carpet shop - amazing to see. There was no pressure to buy - but if you did want to buy this would be a good place to start. Thank you

It was an amazing experience from start to finish. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating historical insights throughout the entire tour. He even came to meet us at our hotel, which made everything very convenient. We enjoyed a nice walking tour and visited some of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks, including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Hippodrome, the Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar. The explanations were engaging, and the pace of the tour was perfect. Keep in mind that entrance tickets are not included in the tour price. At the time of our visit, the approximate costs were: Topkapi Palace: 2,750 TL (about $60 USD) Basilica Cistern: 2,250 TL (about $49 USD) Hagia Sophia skip-the-line ticket: €30 Lunch will cost approximately 500–1,000 TL per person, depending on where you eat. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide made the history come alive and ensured we had a fantastic experience. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Istanbul. We would definitely do it again! We absolutely loved it!

the guide was really knowledgeable and informative and knew a lot of history. however I felt a bit manipulated to buy stuff eg instead of making sure I took a head scarf with me either by text or when he met me, he took me to a very expensive place. also lunch was a very expensive restaurant, where he ordered more food than I did, as well as soft drinks for himself, without mentioning that I was expected to pay for his lunch. it also wasn't clear what was included, like tickets, and so all in all the cost me about 3x more than the cost of the actual tour.
