Verken de beroemde tempels van Delhi en bekijk de architectonische wonderen. Bezoek de Swaminarayan Akshardham-tempel in New Delhi, die 10.000 jaar Indiase cultuur belichaamt in al zijn adembenemende grootsheid, schoonheid, wijsheid en gelukzaligheid. Bezoek dan de Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, de meest prominente Sikh Gurdwara, of Sikh Huis van aanbidding. Het terrein omvat de tempel, een keuken, een grote vijver, een school en een kunstgalerie. Om 09.00 uur wordt u opgehaald bij uw hotel om te genieten van uw rondleiding door de tempel van Old en New Delhi in een privévoertuig. Om 10 uur bezoekt u de Swaminarayan Akshardham-tempel (op maandag gesloten) in New Delhi. Het Swaminarayan Akshardham-complex werd in 2005 uitgeroepen tot het Guinness World Record als de grootste hindoe-tempel ter wereld. Rond 12.30 uur bezoekt u de Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, de meest prominente Sikh Gurdwara, of het huis van aanbidding. Het is een heilige plaats van het Sikh-geloof dat openstaat voor mensen van alle kasten, geloofsovertuigingen en geloofsovertuigingen. Er is een heilige vijver in deze gurudwara, waar toegewijden baden nemen. Deze gurudwara wordt beheerd door het Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Managementcomité, dat ook de geboorte van Guru Sri Harkrishan Sahib viert. Om 13.30 uur neem je een lunchpauze. Uw lunch wordt u aangeboden in een van de beste lokale restaurants. Na de lunch, rond 3 uur, bezoekt u de Lotus Tempel, ook bekend als de Bahai-tempel (gesloten op maandag), die een opvallende, maar eenvoudige centrale hal heeft waar u kunt mediteren. De hal is 112,5 voet (34,27 meter) hoog. Tot nadenken stemmende citaten van de heilige geschriften van de Bahá'í staan op de nissen van de bloembladen. Temidden van prachtige tuinen, is de tempel op zijn meest uitbundige best wanneer de zon deze lotusblaadjes verblindt. Bij het binnenkomen zul je je schoenen moeten verwijderen en moeten zwijgen. Rond 16.30 uur heb je wat tijd om te winkelen in Delhi. Winkelen in Delhi kan ontmoedigend zijn als je niet weet waar je heen moet en hoe je er moet komen. De hoofdstad van India is een van de meest opwindende plekken om textiel te kopen (zowel textiel als klaar om kleding te dragen), sieraden, schoenen, tassen, leer, tapijten, handwerk, traditionele en hedendaagse Indiase kunst. De stad heeft veel verschillende winkelgebieden, elke markt heeft een onderscheidende ambiance. Rond 19.00 uur bezoekt u de ISKON-tempel, waar u deelneemt aan een Aarti-avond, of een lichte ceremonie. Na de lichtceremonie, aan het einde van uw dag rond 20.00 uur, wordt u afgezet bij uw hotel of op het Connaught Place, het hart van Delhi, waar u de plaatselijke bazaars kunt verkennen.

We were a group of 20 friends and Deejohn Holidays provided a very good support and guidance. The guide Satish was just perfect, always smiling, patient and always there to help. The whole staff was punctual, friendly and ready to respond to all our needs. They arranged our trips to Ellora Caves (A must see!), Ajanta, Aurangabad and other locations, where we had another incredible guide who even sang to us to let us feel the authentic experience in temples and caves. Sumit and our driver picked us up promptly from the hotel the morning of the tour. We were 3 people and we travelled comfortably. We had a wonderful day, seeing amazing monuments and historical sites. Mahip was very knowledgeable and could answer any questions we asked. He was a great guide, and he went out of his way to show us places and things that interested us, he also took some great photos of us. I highly recommend him as a guide :)

I enjoyed the places of worship. However, I felt the tour was rushed and not thorough. For example, Akshardham had so many more things to do like a boat ride, etc. After blistering through, I asked if there was more but I was never shown or offered or explained about a boat ride. The hospitality service of the very young 21 y/o tour guide and driver was poor. I was left standing alone several times, not made comfortable in lines like other tour guides did for their customers, i.e., securing meeting places and advances in lines, and clear directions. Simple customer service was gravely missing like offering to open the car door or other doors for me as a single woman of color on this tour. I gave 2 stars because I enjoyed the Temples and history printed throughout that I read myself. I don't recommend this company.

<p>Excellent guide and driver.<br/> Highlight of the tour was Akshardham Temple and having a fabulous lunch there.<br/> Did not visit Lotus Temple because the lineups were too long.<br/> And did not go inside of ISKON Temple cause it was closed in the afternoon.</p>
