Ontdek de locaties in Peñíscola waar *Game of Thrones* werd opgenomen. We gaan vanuit Valencia het plaatsje Peñíscola bezoeken; het is een van de mooiste plaatsen van Spanje, ligt aan de kust en heeft een ommuurd historisch centrum. Je leert de geschiedenis van het dorp en de meest kenmerkende gebouwen kennen. De oude stad lijkt op Santorini in Griekenland. Je krijgt een officiële gids met gidslicentie die je tijdens de hele rondleiding door Peñíscola begeleidt. Je zult ook het beroemde kasteel van Paus Luna bezoeken, waar Paus Luna (Benedictus XIII) zijn toevlucht zocht; het is een van de best bewaarde kastelen van Spanje en bovendien het laatste kasteel dat door de Tempeliers werd gebouwd. Je leert er meer over de geschiedenis van de Tempeliers en Paus Luna. Met een officiële, erkende gids die je de oude stad en het kasteel laat zien en erover vertelt; andere tours hebben geen erkende gids en laten je niets van Peñíscola zien of vertellen er niets over. We vertrekken met minimaal 2 personen.

Het vervoer van Valencia naar Peñíscola duurt 1:30 uur.
We bezoeken het oude centrum van Peñíscola, waar ik je de geschiedenis ervan zal vertellen. Je kent ook de plaatsen waar Game of Thrones werd gefilmd. Je kunt door de straten lopen en prachtige foto's maken en enkele belangrijke gebouwen bekijken.
We stoppen om te eten in een restaurant.
We zullen het kasteel van binnen bekijken. Met teksten ken je het hele kasteel. Elke kamer in het kasteel wordt geleverd met teksten in het Spaans en Engels waarin wordt uitgelegd wat elke kamer was, in het kasteel lees je de borden en bekijk je video's.
Je hebt een uur vrije tijd om de kasteeltuin te bezoeken, te winkelen, een wandeling door de oude stad te maken of naar het strand te gaan.
Als we klaar zijn, keren we terug naar Valencia, waar het 1:30 uur duurt om hetzelfde ontmoetingspunt te bereiken.

The tour itself to the peninsula of Peníscola was very interesting and beautiful. The town and the castle were pretty and vibrant. There were very large crowds and the time of year we chose to go were the wrong time. It was extremely hot. Our guide on the other hand had issues with Americans. He was condescending, arrogant and rude. Couldn't wait till the tour was over to get away from this guy. Anyway, wish it could have been better overall.
10/10 Peñíscola Tour ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 experience in Peñíscola, España! 🇪🇸☀️ This tour was absolutely amazing! Our guides went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, especially in the August 13th heat. They kept us hydrated with plenty of ice-cold water, made sure we had lots of bathroom breaks, and gave us plenty of opportunities to cool off in the AC. We got to explore the beautiful Peñíscola Castle and see some of the incredible locations where Game of Thrones was filmed! 🏰🐉 We also had free time to explore on our own, which was the perfect addition to the tour. The guides were knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the day. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I highly recommend this tour, especially to all my Game of Thrones fans! 🐉❤️ If you’re visiting Spain, Peñíscola is definitely worth adding to your itinerary! 🇪🇸✨
This is a great tour. Group was small so very nice. Guides were very friendly and very knowledgeable. The facts they told us about the castle were very interesting and the views were fantastic!

My excursion to Castillo de Peñíscola was one of the highlights of my trip to Valencia! The tour guides were absolutely fantastic, and our driver (Danny) was friendly, professional, and made the whole trip enjoyable. They took so many photos of me and everyone in the group, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about capturing every moment ourselves. Traveling in mini vans instead of a large tour bus made the excursion feel much more personal and intimate. It was a great way to explore without feeling like part of a huge crowd. As a solo traveler it can be intimidating but the guides made me feel safe, checked-in on me, and made sure I never lost the group. Peñíscola Castle is absolutely beautiful and well worth visiting. I also met some wonderful people on this tour, which made the day even more memorable. Everyone involved was fun, kind, respectful, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. Even if you are not a "Games of Thrones" fan, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Valencia!

The tour was excellent. The driving was not that long and the guide made it very entertaining. The tour guide has a lot oh knowledge in the subject and was very friendly. My 13 year old grandson love it too. Besides being a film location tour, the enclosed city is beautifull,

Our guide was amazing and gave us every detail and was very respectful of we needed to stop etc. He took us to a great restaurant for lunch where we had the best paella. Beautiful city, beaches and the tour of the castle very interesting even if you didn’t watch Game of Thrones. He showed video so others understood the episode filmed. Long hot day but well worth this tour. My husband Steve and I from California are grateful to Tony for making this a wonderful experience!
