Maak je klaar - ons avontuur begint snel! De bus is onderweg, dus pak je spullen, voel de spanning en laten we gaan! Het is een vroege opkomst als we vertrekken op een onvergetelijk avontuur naar een van de meest adembenemende natuurlijke pareltjes van de Top End - Nitmiluk National Park en Katherine Gorge!
We vertrekken helder en vroeg vanuit het tropische Darwin en reizen zuidwaarts over de legendarische Stuart Highway, langs charmante historische stadjes zoals Adelaide River of Pine Creek voordat we aankomen in het gastvrije stadje Katherine.
Maak je onderweg klaar om versteld te staan van de unieke planten en wilde dieren die alleen hier in het Northern Territory te vinden zijn. Leun achterover, ontspan en geniet van het prachtige landschap terwijl uw deskundige gids boeiende verhalen vertelt over de rijke geschiedenis en cultuur van het gebied.
Deze magische kloof wordt verzorgd door de Jawoyn mensen, de traditionele bewaarders wiens diepe spirituele band met het land het landschap tot leven zal brengen op een manier die je nooit zult vergeten.

Drijf door een dramatische canyon omlijst door torenhoge kliffen van 70 meter hoog, badend in steeds veranderende tinten als zonlicht danst op de rotswanden.
Korte stop om het bezoekerscentrum te bekijken en de toiletten te gebruiken, voordat we naar Edith Falls gaan voor een duik. *Let op: Afhankelijk van de beschikbaarheid van de boot kan de tourroute Edith Falls bezoeken voor de Katherine Gorge Cruise.
Hierna volgt een bezoek aan de rustige Edith Falls (Leliyn), verscholen in het hart van het park. Afhankelijk van de timing bezoeken we Edith Falls voor of na de bootcruise. Duik in het verfrissende natuurlijke dompelbad voor een koele, verkwikkende duik, of kom gewoon tot rust aan de rand van het water en laat de rustige vibes over je heen spoelen.
Na het opladen bij Edith Falls gaan we terug richting Darwin, waar we onze route volgen via Pine Creek of Adelaide River. Denk na over de ongelooflijke bezienswaardigheden en verhalen van de dag terwijl je naar huis reist, en neem de onvergetelijke geest van Nitmiluk National Park met je mee - een plek waar wilde schoonheid en rijke cultuur in perfecte harmonie samenkomen.
Terwijl we terugrollen naar je opstapplaats, leun je achterover, ontspan je en herbeleef je de magie van de dag – vol epische bezienswaardigheden, lachen en onvergetelijke momenten. Wat een avontuur! De groep keert terug naar Darwin City rond 20:00 in de avond na een fantastische leuke dag met het verkennen van Nitmiluk National Park en Katherine Gorge.

Extremely informative, wonderful scenery. Not too rushed and plenty of stops. The Guides/ Driver at Katherine Gorge were excellent. Special thanks for driver Tim (with a beard) for his commentary and excellent driving. Would certainly recommend this tour for anyone.

Very long day hours of traveling what we saw was impressive but very limited time better to book at least 2 days to see a lot more

Ozzie Tim the tour guide drove very well all day making you feel safe, Tim’s knowledge of the top end, aborigine culture,fawn and flora was extensive the Katherine Gorge was breathtaking travelling along the river in the boat was serine. Thank you Viator and Autopia.

This is a very long day but worth it to see Edith Falls and Katherine Gorge. We enjoyed the walk up To the upper pool at Edith Falls and it was easy access to swim in the lower pool if you wanted a longer swim. The boat trip at Katherine Gorge was a highlight with spectacular scenery and a great insight into the history and indigenous culture. We stopped at the roadhouse in Adelaide River and in Pine Creek but the guide didn’t tell us how long the stops would be which wasted time. There was very limited food options with only the roadhouse for coffee and to pick up lunch - it didn’t have much choice. It would have been good to stop in Katherine to see the town and maybe have more food options.

The wealth of local knowledge from the tour guide/driver was fascinating and entertaining and very well presented. The natural beauty of Nitmiluk is awesome. Recommend taking a dip at Leliyn, goggles a must to spot the different underwater wildlife.

This tour is definitely well worth doing. It is a long day but the beautiful Edith falls and the Katherine Gorge make it worth while. Our driver and tour guide Boggie made our day interesting and informative.

It is a long day. (14 hours) Be prepared for up to 8 hrs driving. But worth it! Our driver/guide Tom was informative, tireless, great sense of humour and really made the day entertaining instead of gruelling. Edith falls walk is 2km of track (return) with last 100m rock scramble. Stumble watch for those with limited agility!
