Begin uw avontuur in de ochtend met een comfortabele minivan rit van uw hotel in Bangkok naar Ayutthaya.
Onze eerste stop is het elegante Bang Pa-In Royal Summer Palace. Terwijl we door de rustige tuinen wandelen, ontdek je hoe Siamese koningen hier ooit hun zomers doorbrachten en buitenlandse gasten en leden van het koninklijk hof verwelkomden tussen sierlijke paviljoens en rustige meren.
Een van de eerste tempelbezoeken is Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, een van Ayutthaya’s meest indrukwekkende tempelcomplexen. De torenhoge klokvormige stoepa werd gebouwd om een legendarische koninklijke overwinning in een olifantengevecht te vieren, terwijl rijen met saffraan gekleed Boeddhabeelden het tempelterrein omzoomen. Aan de achterzijde van het complex rust een grote liggende Boeddha vredig tussen de tempelruïnes, wat een ander memorabel hoogtepunt toevoegt aan deze opmerkelijke site.
Geniet van een heerlijke lunch aan de rivier in een plaatselijk restaurant en proef authentieke Thaise smaken terwijl u geniet van het rustige uitzicht.
Je ziet ook de koninklijke tempel gemarkeerd door drie iconische chedis die ooit de as van oude koningen (Wat Phra Sri Sanphet) vasthielden, samen met het indrukwekkende voormalige koninklijke paleisterrein dat ooit in het centrum van de macht van het koninkrijk stond.
Eén van de hoogtepunten is de tempel met een van Thailands beroemdste bezienswaardigheden: het mysterieuze Boeddhahoofd verstrengeld in de wortels van een heilige Bodhiboom (Wat Mahathat).
In de middag stapt u aan boord van een traditionele rivierboot en vaart u over de Chao Phraya-rivier rond het eiland. Vanaf het water zie je Ayutthaya vanuit een ander perspectief, langs historische kloosters en de prachtige tempel aan de rivier van Wat Chaiwatthanaram voordat je in de late namiddag terugkeert naar Bangkok.
De tour eindigde, onze chauffeur brengt u terug naar uw hotel in Bangkok.

- Na afloop van de tour kan het voorkomen dat onze gids de klanten niet helemaal naar hun hotel begeleidt. In deze gevallen zorgt onze chauffeur ervoor dat u veilig wordt afgezet bij uw hotel.
- Lange broeken zijn verplicht voor zowel mannen als vrouwen bij een bezoek aan het Koninklijk Paleis, u bent welkom om een korte broek te dragen tijdens de dag, maar neem een lange broek mee om aan te trekken indien nodig. Betaalbare broeken zijn ook te koop bij de ingang.

We had a wonderful tour and day with Alex. He took great care of our family, easily rearranged the itinerary to meet our needs in the high heat, shared interesting history and connected with my kids, took us to a fabulous Thai restaurant for lunch that accommodated our special diets, and took us on a fun speed longboat ride around Ayutthaya. He introduced us to a lovely Thai dessert snack (roti sai mai), and my kids enjoyed making more of the wraps the following day with the ingredients he shared with us. We left our hotel around 7am and reached back by 2:45/3pm - perfect amount of time for us, especially in the hot summer weather. The sites were not crowded, as we reached there early in the morning. Wat Yai Chaya Mongkol was our favorite. Highly recommend this tour and especially Alex if you are visiting Bangkok with family.

This is a great tour! A bit of the history of Thailand, visiting the palace grounds and a few different temples. Ending with lunch and a boat ride was just perfect. We had a large group with 2 vans. Our tour guide, Sasha, was the BEST! Very knowledgeable about all the sites, helpful from the day before all the way through our day. There was a lot of walking and Sasha helped us secure a golf cart at one location and made seating available at another site. She was so thoughtful and organized - able to keep our party together the whole time. It was a great adventure!

Our guide was very good. He was energetic and knowledgeable. I think we spent exactly the right amount of time at each site. It was a lot to see in one day. The boat trip through the canals and river was really fun. It was great to see the temples and houses along the waterways.
