Frida Kahlo en Diego Rivera hebben het Mexicaanse modernisme helpen definiëren. Tijdens deze tour krijgen we inzicht in het leven van twee van Mexico’s meest iconische en invloedrijke artiesten. Vervolgens verleggen we onze focus naar Diego Rivera terwijl we een taxi nemen naar onze eindhalte: het Museo Estudio Diego Rivera, de tweelingwoningen en studio's van de kunstenaars. Tijdens de tour bezoeken we het Frida Kahlo Museum, haar voormalige verblijfplaats en waar veel van haar zelfportretten zijn gemaakt. Het historische gebouw is het voormalige huis van de kunstenaar en waar veel van haar zelfportretten zijn gemaakt. We zullen haar meest intieme ruimtes verkennen, gevuld met haar kunstwerken, foto's, kleding en zelfs korsetten die ze droeg als gevolg van kinderpolo en een gruwelijk busongeluk in 1925. Onze deskundige gids leidt je door de charmante binnenplaatsen, tuinen van de kunstenaar en fonteinen en bespreek de belangrijkste invloeden op haar werk: het tragische ongeluk, haar persoonlijkheid, haar identiteit als Mexicaanse vrouw en natuurlijk Diego.
Daarna gaan we naar het Museo Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo, of de dubbele huizen en studio's van de liefhebbers Diego Rivera en Frida Kahlo. Our guide Neene was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly knowledgeable, and we learned a lot. She was exceptional.

Our tour guide Neene was awesome! You can tell she really loves art and architecture and led us around the houses with ease and great facts about Frida, Diego and Juan O’Gorman!! Highly recommend!!
The experience was very good, as it was the first time I visited the facilities of the Frida Kahlo museum, however, I urge the guide who accompanied us to continue, improving his English and delve a little more into Frida Kahlo’s personal artistic history.

Unfortunately, we took the address from the app to give our Uber driver and the address was incorrect and we had to pay additional cash to driver to take us to the Casa Azul correct address. Because of this, we arrived late and although our tour guide, Armando, was in communication and waited, we were told he would not have time to take us to Diego’s studio. In fact, we almost didn’t get into La Casa Azul!! Armando’s tour was great. He was informative and friendly. Unfortunately, we reached out to tour agent and could not be compensated for another day. She stated that the ticket voucher did state the correct address and wasn’t responsible for how the Viator app wrote out the address. This was going to be the highlight of the trip from NY.

Our guide, Armando, waited for you for an hour, going beyond our policy. He did all his best to ensure the museum administration allowed you entry after the official entrance time and customized the tour to make it as fulfilling as possible under the circumstances. However, as another tour with Armando was scheduled afterward, we were unable to extend the tour after its finishing time. A friend and I took this tour on Tuesday, October 22. Wow. What a great tour. Our Guide Neene was the best imaginable - very knowledgeable of art and of the lives of Frida and Diego. We had many questions and she answered them all - patiently.
Neene was a fantastic tour guide for our party of 7. She was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to our group. She paced the tour to fit our schedule and that was appreciated, but at same time, we didn't feel like we missed anything. Highly recommend this tour.
