The tour was excellent, seeing many whales. Staff were friendly & knowledgeable, and the lunch was plentiful. We even saw a dingo on K'gari beach.
Had a wonderful day with Mark and his team. Very friendly and welcoming. Outstanding service all day, delicious food, too. Would recommend this to anyone. (Mobility issue with accessing downstairs toilets - but my friend and I were allowed to sit in the Captain's cabin. This was much appreciated and proof of their willingness to be helpful to keep the customers happy.) We saw many whales and calves during the day, and the weather was perfect! Excellent relaxed and informative commentary. Food was fine, similar to other tours. Bar was reasonably priced. Saw plenty of whales with an extremely close encounter with a calf and mother. Also, never managed to see a whale breaching until this trip. Thanks to the persistence of the skipper and willingness to stay longer than he should we saw many up close. Only room for improvement was to maybe slow down more for lunch. It's difficult eating off your knee on a bumpy boat.

This was our second day of whale watching and again we were blessed with lots of whales, a great crew led by captain Jack and overall a great experience and a great day with whales hanging around the boat on more than one occasion. The scones, jam and fresh cream were great hit for morning tea. However, whilst we had a great time, and the Freedom looks more luxurious than the boat we had been on the previous day, it is actually quite a poor design for whale watching and for the number of people that are taken on board. The viewing area is at the front of the boat with 3 tiers of seats which is great for those that got a seat. We were one of the fortunate. Those that got a seat hung on to them for fear of losing their spot and others were ready to pounce. Whenever whales were spotted, the captain made sure that the front of the boat was facing them. On those occasions, and there were plenty, everyone was standing to get the best view so it was fine. Nobody missed out on seeing whales as long as they made their way to the front of the boat. The inside area is totally enclosed, you cant see the whales from inside the cabin area and there is a small area at the back of the boat which is pointed away from the whales, for reasons stated above. When travelling forward, it was very windy and cold at the front of the boat and there was a bit of a breeze blowing anyway. Those seated, rugged up as best they could and put up with the cold for fear of losing their seat. This was in stark contrast to the boat we had been on the previous day which didnt look as great but it didnt matter where you were standing or seated you had a clear view out to the whales and everyone moved around freely as there was ample seating.
It’s all about the whales and it’s great to hear you saw lots of them. They really are amazing in Hervey Bay. We always recommend layers of clothes with changeable conditions on the water. People usually move around the boat all day so it sounds like you were a bit unlucky with the weather and the other guests behaviour. We have 62 seats and do not take more than 48 guests.
This experience was absolutely amazing - the crew were so friendly & helpful and the whales - well that was like nothing we had ever experienced before. We will do this again and will recommend it to everyone. What a memory to have. Thank you so much.

The captain and crew were amazing and very helpful. The food was awesome and they cater to food allergies. The whales performed in the morning and although I've been whale watching before, it was so lovely. I would definitely go again and would highly recommend..

We did the day trip whale watching aboard Freedom III. Fantastic from start to finish. The boat, the captain, the 2 female crew along with the food was second to none. Whales galore and a few dolphins to. A truly memorable day for all of us especially our 4 grandsons.

We used to enjoy Freedom 111 cruises, the crew the boat leaves at a decent time, and used to have a small number of passengers on board so this makes the trip quite personal with heaps of laughs. This was our third trip and we will be back again next July, thank you to Keith, Billy & Ivan . NOW YOU ARE JAMMED IN LIKE SARDINES,NOT AS MANY WHALES,NOTHING LIKE BEFORE.
