Deze 3 uur durende voedselexcursie door Nafplio neemt je mee naar zorgvuldig geselecteerde voedselwinkels, waar je enkele van de beste kazen, wijnen, koffie en ijs proeft die in de stad verkrijgbaar zijn. Tegelijkertijd bezoeken we de beroemdste monumenten van de stad, zoals de katholieke kerk, het plein van St. Spyridon, het plein van Sint-Joris en de oude stad, die ons kennis laten maken met de lange en prachtige geschiedenis van de stad.

We halen je op bij ons ontmoetingspunt en we beginnen onze excursie met een tour in de pittoreske steegjes van Nafplio met zijn neoklassieke herenhuizen en Venetiaanse balkons.
Onze eerste proeverijstop is een traditionele supermarkt waar we lokale soorten kaas en worst proeven en we leren hun kleine productiegeheimen door de kruidenier.
Daarna gaan we naar het Syntagmaplein, het hart van de stad. We leren meer over dit historische plein en de omliggende gebouwen.
We vervolgen onze tour en passeren de wijk ''Yialos'' en proeven lokale wijnvariëteiten in een wijnkelderwinkel, terwijl de eigenaar ons de kunst van het lokale wijnmaken vertelt.
Onze culinaire excursie eindigt in een authentieke traditionele ijssalon. Met ons ijs bij de hand lopen we naar het strand van Nafplio om het Venetiaanse fort van Mpourtzi te bewonderen en meer te weten te komen over het historische bestaan door de eeuwen heen.

Guide Sofia was a wonder ambassador for her city. We had plenty of delicious food and lots of laughs. We needed a tour modification because of our cruise departure time and this company was extremely accommodating and helpful.

This was a fantastic tour, Sophia, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and she checked in with us that we understood and if we were all ok etc. As we explored the streets of Nafplio Sophia told us all about the local landmarks and history of the town. We visited a third generational family of cheese makers and tasted the cheeses of the region. We continued on to a master of wine and sampled many local wines, finally finishing at a local Greek restaurant. The food and whole experience was fantastic. We have two children who can be fussy with food but they had a great time on this tour! Would highly recommend it to everyone.
