In deze 4 uur durende Food Lovers wandeltocht (kleine groep), ontdek de beste maaltijden, snacks en producten uit Nice & Franse Rivièra (ongeveer 10 specialiteiten & vele lokale producten) : Onze typische gerechten die Italiaanse, Franse en meer mediterrane invloeden mengen: olijfolie & speciale vruchtenazijn, lokale wijnen & truffels, kazen & droog vlees met pairings (honing, fruit), brood & gebak, gekonfijt fruit & nog veel meer verrassingen. Ontmoet je gids aan de kust op de beroemde Promenade des Anglais voor een korte introductie voordat je aan je tour begint.
We passeren de beroemdste lokale voedsel- en bloemenmarkt "Cours Saleya" en doorkruisen de mooiste straten en pleinen van de oudste wijk van Nice, stoppen voor proeverijen in enkele kraampjes van de markt en sommige partners winkelen
Als je de traditionele markt van Nice betreedt, neemt je gids je mee van kraam naar kraam om meer dan 15 heerlijke lokale delicatessen te proeven, zowel zoet als hartig, met historische uitleg over de culinaire cultuur van Nice en de Provence en hun Italiaanse invloeden.
Na een wandeling door de markt en verschillende proeverijen, wordt er een stop gemaakt bij het iconische operahuis van Nice voor een historische pauze voordat u doorgaat met nog meer proeverijen in de winkels van de beste lokale ambachtslieden.
Op het beroemde Rossetti-plein neemt je gids een korte historische pauze voor de kathedraal van Santa Reparata in de oude stad. Daarna gaan de proeverijen door voor meer winkels met lokale producten voordat we bergopwaarts gaan voor de picknick.
De tour eindigt in het Castle Hill Park met een gezellige laatste picknick (lokale maaltijden, snacks, wijnen en gebak)

We had an amazing food tour in Nice today with our guide, Sofia, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Sofia was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the history, culture, and food of Nice. She made every stop interesting by sharing local stories and explaining the traditions behind each dish. We discovered some truly amazing local food that we probably never would have found on our own. Every tasting was delicious, authentic, and carefully selected. The tour felt very genuine, personal, and well-paced, giving us a real appreciation for the city’s culinary heritage. If you’re visiting Nice and want to experience the city through its food and culture, I highly recommend this tour—and if you have the chance to go with Sofia, even better. Thank you for such a memorable experience!
This was the perfect way to spend my first full day in Nice! The tour guide, Lara, was so friendly, knowledgeable and excited about telling the group the history of her city, as well as all of the food specialties that make it unique! She took us through the market, setting up tastings along the way of so many things - olives, sundried tomatoes, melon, cheeses, salami! After the market we went into several stores to continue tastings - chocolate, olive oils, truffles! At the end, we took the lift to the top of castle hill and had a picnic with even more snacks she picked up along the way! Highly recommend!

Excellent introduction to Nice food and market area. Leisurely stroll tasting local foods in the old town market area. Our guide, Aline, provided us with excellent information about the history and food of the area. We finished our day with a picnic overlooking Nice from the park above the city.
One of the best food tours we have ever experienced! Numerous food tastings of all the local specialties. Generous amounts. Local delicious wines. Small group and a fabulous informative tour guide, Aliene. The picnic at the end in castle hill was fun, different and personal with all of our new friends from the tour. Highly recommend, not to be missed.
Most of the tour was conducted in the central market, plenty of samples, but a crowded place. Lots of walking!

Our tour guide Sarah was knowledgeable and pleasant and provided a wonderful experience. I loved that we got a good dose of cultural info in with all the food facts. Ending with a picnic was a treat!
Sarah lead the group on a tasty, exciting adventure through Old Town Nice ending at the waterfall. Her knowledge and passion for the city shined through. A highlight of our trip.
