Deze Walking Food Tour is een CULTURELE tour door het centrum van Napels en zijn culinaire cultuur. Je leert de mediterrane geschiedenis terwijl je een persoonlijk samengesteld degustatiemenu eet. We lopen door de lange straat van Spaccanapoli en bezoeken wat "tavola calda" om een selectie van traditionele snacks te eten die op verschillende manieren worden gekookt en geserveerd: denk aan aubergine, artisjok, courgette en meer. Daarna gaan we naar de historische Pignasecca-markt om de bruisende mediterrane cultuur te ruiken en te ervaren. Je zult een selectie van verschillende soorten traditionele pizza's, de typische pittige Tarallo Caldo en kazen proberen. Vervul die kaashonger met proeverijen van Mozzarella di Bufala, Fior di Latte en gerookte Provola. Terwijl je Pasta Ragù kookt, verkennen we Piazza del Gesù en Piazza San Domenico Maggiore met zijn kerken en banketbakkerijen. Last but not least, proef je wat lokale zoetigheden zoals Sfogliatella of Babà.

We lopen door het minder toeristische deel van Spaccanapoli om de paleizen te bewonderen, om de geschiedenis van Napels te begrijpen. Hier stoppen we om pizza te eten en de tipycal "Tarallo", een kleine pittige snack.
Pignasecca is de permanente voedselmarkt van Napels. Rondom dit gebied ademt u de authentieke sfeer van de belangrijkste mediterrane stad. Je eet een selectie groenten en een beetje gefrituurde Zeppole, of gewoon "pizza di scarole". Voldoe aan dat verlangen naar kaas met proeverijen van Mozzarella di Bufala, Fior di Latte en gerookte Provola.
Terwijl je Pasta Ragù kookt, verkennen we Piazza del Gesù en Piazza San Domenico Maggiore met zijn kerken en banketbakkerijen. Een bezoek aan dit deel van Napels is belangrijk om te begrijpen hoe diep Napels is veranderd aan het einde van de Tweede Wereldoorlog

Davide was a fantastic tour guide. The food we ate while on our tour with him was so delicious! I still think of the ragu and zitti and am hopelessly trying to find the recipes! My only regret was we didn't do this on our first evening, so we could back again to the places before we left.
Guide did not show. We waited more than 30 minutes at statue in Piazza Dante. Very disappointed. Wasted precious time. Full refund expected.

I am very new to solo traveling so I was a little anxious about my trip to Italy until Davide sent me a confirmation video message a couple of weeks before my trip. Amazing Food Tour with Davide ! Not only he is an expert of Napolitan cuisine but he describes the culture, the history and the local places in an incredible way making the whole experience truly special! He explained in great detail how the food differs vs the rest of Italy and how the history of Naples has influenced products and cuisine. He brought us in local food places we would have never discovered and he it was amazing to taste delicious food while he was sharing his experience! A night to remember forever!
