Beschrijving
Bereid je voor om de geschiedenis, de architectuur, de cultuur en de gastronomie van de hoofdstad van Santa Catarina te verkennen met een lokale Expert! Doe mee! Zodra we allemaal samen zijn voor het lokale café Da Praça, beginnen we aan de tour door het historische centrum en leren we de geheimen van de belangrijkste monumenten en gebouwen kennen. Terwijl we wandelen, praten we over de inheemse groepen die het eiland Santa Catarina bezetten, en reizen we door de 17e eeuw, een tijd gekenmerkt door de komst van Portugese kolonisten en Afrikanen tot slaaf gemaakt. Nadat we meer te weten zijn gekomen over de oprichters van het bijgenaamde "Magische Eiland", gaan we op weg naar het Cruz e Sousa Paleis en het 15 november Plein. Vervolgens verkennen we belangrijke bezienswaardigheden voor de zwarte gemeenschap in Florianopolis. Daarnaast passeren we ook het Álvaro de Carvalho Theater, een van de mooiste monumenten van de stad. We sluiten de ervaring af met een rondleiding en een verrassing op de Openbare Markt.

Issac spoke excellent English, had considerable knowledge of Florianopolis and was good fun. Would recommend the tour as a great way to learn about the history of the city and to walk around the old part of the city.

A guided tour of Florianopolis, a city with a relatively small historic center, may seem unnecessary, but for this very reason, it is worth doing! The tour allows one to notice details, discover stories, and better understand the city of today and its history. Isaac, the guide, has created an excellent mix of history, culture, music, beliefs, and current events in a balance that can satisfy the most diverse interests. Additionally, it is very interesting: the tour has established collaborations with local restaurateurs and provides the opportunity to sample some (very appreciated!) food along the way.
