Ons doel is om elke fijnproever op de wereldwijde jacht naar de volgende geweldige hap te faciliteren door lokale gerechten en unieke Bahamaanse gerechten te presenteren door middel van een educatieve, vermakelijke en smaakvolle culinaire tour. • • Deze tour is de gelegenheid waar elke fijnproever van droomt. Hier tijdens onze tweede stop bij Taste Teas kun je een assortiment theesoorten proberen waarvan bekend is dat ze geneeskrachtige voordelen hebben. Dit is niet alleen voor de kruidenliefhebber, maar voor iedereen. Stap naar buiten, naar de minibar en proef meerdere smaken rum met lokaal fruit.
Hier tijdens deze huistour in koloniale stijl krijg je een korte historische rondleiding waarin je leert over piraterij en het ontwikkelingsbegin van ons land, terwijl je wat luchtsap proeft. Op het zien van de productie en verpakking. Terwijl je wacht op de monsters van de schelpbeignets, heb je de kans om rond te lopen en mixdrankjes of sterke drank te kopen om mee naar huis te nemen.
Bij onze laatste stop lunchen we in een lokaal restaurant dat zich richt op het biologische Bahamaanse menu en de lunch wordt geserveerd. Neem deze tijd om te ontspannen, geniet van het moment en mogelijke nieuwe vrienden en maak je klaar om terug te gaan naar het schip.
Onze eerste stop is The New Duff, deze plek is favoriet bij fans. Gelegen aan de East Bay Street. Proef een lokale guave-duff die geliefd is in het hele land en die tijdens de vakantie in elk huis te vinden is. Als u de wind in gaat, probeert u een verfrissende cocktail met thee. Hete sausmonsters, vervaardigd door de Bahama's, zijn te koop en te proeven. Deze stop duurt ongeveer 15 minuten, je kunt kiezen tussen zitplaatsen binnen of buiten. Deze stop start de tour en stelt je in staat het ijs te breken en nieuwe vrienden te ontmoeten. Houd een open geest en bereid uw smaakpapillen voor op een dag vol smaak. Pak licht in en draag comfortabele kleding en schoeisel. Everything about this experience was wonderful. It he guides and hosts were very attentive and knowledgeable. The FOOD and DRINKS were the stars of the show. I recommend this tour for everyone on the island.
Excellent excursion from start to finish. Nevada, the tour guide, was friendly and knowledgeable. Tasted guava duff, lemongrass tea, and hibiscus tea. Enjoyed a delicious lunch of conch fritters, spring roll, fried snapper, rice and peas, plantains and a full sized pina colada at the rum distillery (extra fresh). Learned much about the history of the Bahamas during the drive. Highly recommended!

Arthur was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the islands and their history. The food was delicious at the multiple stops but the highlight was the stop for authentic Bahamian cuisine. Cannot recommend Arthur’s and this tour enough

Great communication with travelers. Great to see spots we would not have otherwise visited. Loved the new duff guava treat, the puns colada at the distilllery was the best we had the whole trip, and the lunch was absolutely delicious.

Overall, we had a good experience on this Nassau food tour. The main hiccup was meeting up since we were coming from a cruise ship. Phones are usually on airplane mode, so you do need to turn on cellular service once off the ship (data charges may apply). It took about 20 minutes to connect, but once my phone was on, the guide was easy to reach and very responsive. This was a small group tour with guests from different cruise lines, which was totally fine. We started at a tea spot and sampled several teas — they were excellent. The only suggestion would be slightly larger samples, as many of us ended up buying tea anyway (the lemongrass tea was amazing). We also tried traditional Bahamian duff and received a generous sample, which was delicious. At the distillery, however, there were no drink samples, which was a bit disappointing and made it less engaging. We did appreciate that food from a nearby truck was included. We ended at a local restaurant with small but satisfying portions of Bahamian food. Rum cake was available for purchase, but no samples were offered, which likely reduced interest. Overall, a solid tour that could easily be 5 stars with better sampling, smoother meeting logistics, and maybe an insider shopping stop.
Our tour guides were Vance and Peaches. They did a great job making sure all of the guests were taken care of during the drive and at all of the stops. Vance was very informative about each stop and sites along the way. He was interactive with the guests the entire time. Overall, a great experience. No need to eat before! Plenty of small bites along the way, ending with lunch at the end.

Did the cocktail crawl (in morning perfect temp). Shoutout to Sheila!! Had a great experience! Was able to try many drinks, highly recommend to consume and enjoy the first 2 places and last since that’ll be the only full size drink the remaining are tester shots. While traveling, walking excursions (rode bus in the beginning and walked the remaining) we loved the bus driver, he was very interactive, gave great history and always had us laughing! I would definitely recommend if interested in a chill excursion of learning new things about the Bahamas!
