Zie een andere kant van de stad tijdens onze Mumbai fietstour terwijl je door de vroege ochtendrust fietst. Passeer iconische bezienswaardigheden, verborgen hoekjes en wees getuige van Mumbai voordat de menigte arriveert. Onder leiding van een verantwoordelijke reisorganisatie ondersteunt deze tour direct lokale ontwikkelingsinitiatieven. Mensen die langs de paden slapen, toegewijden die hun ochtendpuja (gebed) aanbieden, en vroege opstandelingen die eropuit trekken om te joggen voordat de hitte van de dag invalt. Terwijl de rest van de stad nog maar net wakker begint te worden, profiteren we van de lege straten en koele lucht om Zuid-Bombay per fiets te verkennen. Terwijl we ons een weg banen door de achterste steegjes, bezoeken we bezienswaardigheden in Mumbai zoals de Gateway of India en CST Station, evenals enkele verborgen juweeltjes zoals Sassoon Dock en Bombay Panjrapole (koeienreservaat). Aan het einde van de tour stoppen we voor een welverdiend Zuid-Indisch ontbijt van dosa, idli, upma en nog veel meer.

De Gateway of India is gebaseerd op hindoeïstische en islamitische bouwstijlen en ligt aan de waterkant van het zuiden van Mumbai, en sinds 1924 was het het eerste dat bezoekers van de stad zouden zien als ze per boot aankwamen.
Voorheen bekend als Victoria Terminus, is CST een van de mooiste treinstations in India.
Een van de grootste groothandelsmarkten voor groenten, fruit en vlees van de stad - en het eerste gebouw in India dat elektriciteit krijgt!
Bezoek een lokaal koeienopvangcentrum waar je de kans hebt om goed karma in te slaan door de koeien te voeden.
Dit is de historische hindoetempel waarnaar Mumbai is vernoemd! We nemen een pauze van onze fietsen en kijken naar binnen.
Fiets 3 km langs de Arabische Zee op de Marine Drive-promenade. Normaal gesproken 's avonds vol met vrienden en stelletjes, Marine Drive is 's ochtends leeg en wacht gewoon om te worden gefietst!
We ervaren de chaos van dit levendige marktgebied, inclusief de vissers die vis lossen en vrouwen en kinderen die de garnalen schoonmaken

Javed was great! I hadn't ridden a bike in a decade and he really looked out for me. I loved the cows so much. And the dosa was delicious!
