Beschrijving
Vertrek vanuit het stadscentrum, dicht bij het Centraal Station, en stap over naar het Waterland District, slechts 15 minuten ten noorden van het centrum van Amsterdam. Op comfortabele fietsen kunt u genieten van een pannenkoekenlandschap met zachte beekjes, houten huizen en natuurlijk een windmolen. Onder leiding van een ervaren gids fietst u door pittoreske dorpjes en stadjes langs de oevers van de dijken en waterwegen waaraan het Waterland District zijn naam te danken heeft. Teruggewonnen op de zee door de ondernemende Nederlanders, is het land net zo vol geschiedenis als water.

Centraal Station, gebouwd van 1881-1889 door P.J.H.Cuypers in neogotisch-renaissancestijl, met veel decoratieve sculpturen.

Teruggewonnen moerasland. Veel meren in het Waterlandgebied zijn drooggepompt. Zo'n droogmakerij wordt een droogmakerij of polder genoemd.
Ontsnap aan de drukte van het stadscentrum voor een landschap van dorpen en koeien. Leer hoe Nederlanders al eeuwen met water omgaan.
Bekijk dit oude dorp, met een bijzondere kerktoren, geschilderd door Rembrandt. Inclusief een pauze van 30 minuten (lunch mogelijk)

I went on this bike tour with my husband and 20 year-old daughters and we all thought it was the highlight of our Amsterdam stay. The weather could not have been better! Our tour was led by Trey, who was wonderful in every way! He was so knowledgeable, kind, and fun. It was our best day in Amsterdam! I would recommend this tour to anyone and I would absolutely do it again.

Excellent bike tour, well worth doing, really enjoyed it. We booked the 3.5 hour countryside tour, it was a short notice decision but the weather was sunny and we thought it would be nice to get out of the city. Great decision. The bikes were in good condition, the route was well chosen, the bike lanes are wonderfully safe. We even had a coffee stop in a lovely cafe in a nearby town. Our guide Willem was excellent. Lots of interesting facts about the waterways, and a nice friendly guy. Thanks.

Perfectly paced bike ride which was a welcome relief to the hustle of Amsterdam city. Willem was knowledgeable and very enjoyable. Highly recommend this for a change of pace.

Great trip. It was amazing to cycle round the villages; visit a farm shop for ice-creams; cross the river by ferry like the local Amsterdammers. Bikes were in great condition. Have booked another tour for our up-coming return visit to the city.

Great ride! You get a good taste of the less populated side of the area. Good stops for lunch, and a walk around a small town. Nice workout bonus too.

This was our second bike tour with Yellow Bikes in Amsterdam. We went on the 6 hour tour across the ferry into the countryside of Northern Amsterdam. It was easy cycling, made even more so by the electric bikes. David was our guide and was very knowledgeable. It was interesting to see the countryside and local villages. The living village where we stopped for lunch, was very quaint and it was great to see windmills for which of course The Netherlands is famous. I loved the whole day out and would be happy to go again.

Our guide was Willem and he was outstanding. He took us through the countryside and gave us such a great experience. We stopped at this little cafe and had the most wonderful coffee. I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Willem
