Een combinatie van land- en zeetour met een hele dag avontuurlijk zwemmen en bezienswaardigheden bekijken in Oost-Cyprus. Dit zal een van de meest opwindende en interessante ervaringen zijn die je je van Cyprus zult herinneren, aangezien je voorbij de "groene lijn" reist, die de twee Cypriotische gemeenschappen sinds 1974 scheidt. Vergeet niet uw paspoort en camera mee te nemen.

Begin met een bezoek aan het dorp Derynia en het uitkijkpunt van Famagusta. Hier maak je kennis met hoe het leven was in Famagusta, inclusief het toeristengebied Varoshia vóór de Turkse invasie in 1974. Houd er rekening mee dat volledige en enige begeleiding plaatsvindt bij het Famagusta-uitkijkpunt voordat u het noorden binnengaat.
we rijden richting het controlepunt waar we het noorden van het eiland zullen oversteken, bezet door het Turkse leger, en vervolgens langs de 'spookstad' gaan waar geen bezoekers mogen binnenkomen. Verder verkennen we de oude stad met zijn verbazingwekkende Venetiaanse muren, foto's maken, shoppen of relaxen en een kopje koffie drinken. Je kunt ook de Othello-toren bezoeken en vanaf de top fantastische foto's maken.
We gaan richting de prachtige stranden van het oosten, waar we aan boord gaan van onze cruiseboot en langs de kustlijn varen terwijl we genieten van het uitzicht op de verschillende baaien en zeegrotten. Onze volgende stop, een van de hoogtepunten van de reis, is bij de blauwste baai, de 'Blue Lagoon'. Beroemd om zijn kristalheldere water, hier kunt u ontspannen, zwemmen of snorkelen. Snorkeluitrusting wordt gratis aan boord verstrekt. Tijdens deze pittoreske en gedenkwaardige cruise hebben we de mogelijkheid om nog een keer te zwemmen. Een heerlijke lunch bereid door onze chef vergezeld van een gratis lokaal drankje wordt aan boord geserveerd. Houd er rekening mee dat er tijdens de cruise geen begeleiding aan boord van de boot plaatsvindt. Ongunstige weersomstandigheden en/of andere factoren waarover wij geen controle hebben, kunnen ertoe leiden dat het tweede deel van de excursie, inclusief de boottocht en de lunch, wordt geannuleerd. In dit zeldzame geval krijgen gasten een vergoeding van € 28,00 per volwassene en € 15,00 per kind.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
7.30 uur ophalen bij de ingang van het hotel of toegewezen ontmoetingspunt. Ontmoetingspunten in de buurt van uw accommodatie kunnen worden toegewezen. Er zijn geen ophaalservices beschikbaar bij de privé-accommodaties. De ophaalgegevens worden minimaal 1 dag voor de reis per e-mail verzonden.

The tour consists of a jeep trip to the city of Famagusta with a guide (for us in English with the friendly George Michael) along with 4 other couples. Pick-up at your accommodation. Then there is a boat trip (with many other people) that will allow you to see part of the coast and make 2 stops for swimming (clean water and a fantastic color). Lunch on board (needs improvement) It is interesting and allows you to get an idea of that stretch of coast and the history of Famagusta in one day. You then return to your accommodation from the disembarkation point with the same guide. Departure around 7:30 and return around 5:00 PM. If you go in the summer, bring sunscreen because the sun on the boat is intense. The walk in Famagusta is accessible to everyone. The people with us strolled calmly in beach flip-flops. I recommend the tour.
An absolute great day out! Our guide, George Michael, was amazing, very knowledgable of the history of Famagusta and lots more about the whole of Cyprus. He made the trip extra special. We are so glad we had him as our guide. The boat trip was great - good choice of drinks, food was typical Greek boat trip food (salad, meat, chips) but it was good. The staff were very good. It was very windy at sea and the sea at the blue lagoon was the coldest I’ve ever felt but I imagine on a red hot day it would be very refreshing jumping into the sea. I would say the blue lagoon in Pafos is better than the one we visited. Overall, we had a great day and would recommend it
Well what an experience I cannot express how amazing our tour guide George Michael was, he was so knowledgable as he himself had experienced the history of famagusta, as well as being knowledgable he was funny and made you feel special which everyone likes, nothing was too much and he went above and beyond and the experience may not have been anywhere near as good with anyone else. I would recommend anyone that does these tours Asks for George Michael, such an amazing guide
The tour was a lot of fun! The best part were definitely the tour guides. They were funny, friendly, and had so many interesting things to tell. It was also impressive that they could speak several different languages. Famagusta was one of the highlights of the tour. The old city walls, the small streets, the shops, and the large church in the middle of the old town created a very special atmosphere. It was exciting to walk through the historic city and learn more about its history. The mix of old buildings, little stores, and the unique feeling inside the city walls was truly beautiful. The ghost town was also very interesting. We were shown pictures of what it looked like in the past, which made the experience even more impressive. The guides had a lot of knowledge about the history of the region and explained everything in a very interesting way. That made the whole tour even more informative and engaging. The boat trip was beautiful as well! The sea was amazing, and swimming directly from the boat was so much fun. Overall, it was a perfect combination of history, culture, and relaxation. Highly recommended!
Wss a great tour with our guide Chris.learned about the city of Famagusta and had the best cruise afterwsrds. With swim stops aling the wsy.the blue lagoon was beautiful.tetrific lunch on bosrds with great music and a great bunch of people who danced away to the music.great boat staff.definitely recommended
The morning was fantastic with a very knowledgeable guide (George Michael) who shared personal stories that added to the experience and understanding of the history. The boat was fine, multiple groups on a large vessel.
This tour combined land and sea. Our driver was a hoot. My wife and I enjoyed our ride in the Land Rover Defender. We learned a great deal about Famagusta during our tour.

This tour was an experience to never forget. George Michael, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing. He tells stories that make you relive the convoluted past of Cyprus, while keeping it lighthearted with his humor. He even took a different route on the way back to show us some of Larnaca’s finest sights. The boat tour itself was stunning; blue waters, and a bbq lunch that exceeded expectations. Plus, you get to see a lot of Cypruses beautiful coastline. 10/10 would recommend!
