We bezoeken Serra de Sintra of Mons Lunae zoals de Romeinen zeiden. Op Monte da Lua blijft de mystiek tot op de dag van vandaag bestaan. We beginnen met een rondleiding door een authentiek sprookjespaleis, het Pena-paleis. Vervolgens gaan we naar de mysterieuze Quinta da Regaleira, waar we de Inwijdingsbron bezoeken en de geschiedenis achter de exotische tuinen, raadselachtige grotten en vrijmetselaarsarchitectuur leren kennen. We verkennen de smalle straatjes van het dorp Sintra en geven je vrije tijd om te lunchen en de typische zoetigheden van de regio (travesseiro) te proberen in de beroemde banketbakkerij "Piriquita". Na de lunch steken we de bergen over, passeren we naburige dorpen, om Cabo da Roca te bereiken, het meest westelijke punt van continentaal Europa. ◉ Beperkt tot 8 personen voor een persoonlijke ervaring ◉ We halen je op bij je hotel (centrum van Lissabon)

We nemen je mee naar de top van het Sintra-gebergte om het interieur van het Pena-paleis te bezoeken, de grootste exponent van de 19e-eeuwse romantiek in Portugal. Belangrijkste attractie van de Sintra Tour.
Huis van een Heer die tot de Vrijmetselarij behoorde met zijn raadselachtige tuin en zelfs een Inwijdingsbron, een omgekeerde toren van bijna 30 meter diep met een uitgang via grotten. Magisch en onvergetelijk.
Vrije tijd voor lunch en winkelen en om iets meer te weten te komen over het dorp Sintra.
Om op de beste manier af te sluiten, gaan we naar het meest westelijke punt van continentaal Europa, rond de vuurtoren, ongeveer 150 meter boven de zeespiegel, waar je een weids uitzicht hebt over de Serra de Sintra en de kust.

Renata was the MVP. She was very knowledgeable and kind. We skipped the lines and avoided a lot of uphill walking. Her food recommendations were also great! It was the highlight of our trip to Lisbon. It has been more than 6 months and we still talk about our experience.

We loved our tour with Renata. We have had many guides during our travels over the years and Renata is definitely one of the best. She is a great communicator and good at sharing interesting details and history without it being information overload. The tour was well paced and we had time to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. We also had some time to ourselves for a morning tea break and also a lunch break in the historic heart of Sintra which was very nice. Renata is also a great photographer and was happy to take photos of and for us; she knew all the best ways to capture those memorable and creative shots. Renata's tour was very well organised and she is friendly and personable with a lovely positive energy. Prior to our tour I contacted Renata directly via the Cascais Tours website with a couple of questions and she was very responsive. We are glad we took a tour rather than trying to visit Sintra independently and we are even happier that we chose Renata from Cascais Tours as our guide. Highly recommended.

Had such an amazing day in Sintra with Renata. Although it was rainy, she made sure we still had an unforgettable experience. There are lots of stairs to climb but every step is worth the experience. Incredible sights at the Palace. The park is “the plumb” of the tour and offers flowing water, tunnels, towers and a “can’t miss” well. Sintra is gorgeous. The Guide was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable - she was a fun person to spend the day with.

Renata was an amazing host from start to finish. Booking the tour was as easy as 1-2-3. As soon as I confirmed, she sent us the links to purchase tickets for the two main attractions - Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira - so everything was perfectly organized. I did this about 1 month in advance of the tour date. Choosing this tour was absolutely the best decision; we breezed through all the lines without any hassle. We were a group of eight, and hiring Renata made for the perfect private day trip. We all rode comfortably in a luxurious Mercedes 4WD for the entire day, sitting a maximum of 8 passengers. Her knowledge of Sintra’s history, art, culture, and even the local flora and fauna made the experience truly enriching.
