Excursie naar Cafayate en Quebrada de las Conchas

We reizen naar de stad Cafayate, het land van zon en wijn, gelegen in de Calchaquí-vallei, op 180 km van de hoofdstad Salta, langs een van de meest indrukwekkende en beroemde routes in Noord-Argentinië. Bezoek aan het wijnbouwcentrum van de provincie, waarbij u La Quebrada de Las Conchas doorkruist. Door erosie zijn er talloze natuurwonderen ontstaan, zoals La Garganta del Diablo, een diepe, gesloten kloof. Het Amfitheater (met perfecte natuurlijke akoestiek), De Pad, De Monnik, De Obelisk, De Kastelen. Langzaam maar zeker maakt het dorre landschap plaats voor uitgestrekte wijngaarden, totdat we een van de meest indrukwekkende regio's in de Calchaquí-valleien bereiken: Cafayate, een stad met eengezinswoningen met koloniale en barokke architectuur uit de late 19e eeuw.

Bezoek aan het wijnbouwcentrum van de provincie, door La Quebrada de Las Conchas. Route: Nationale Route 68 (wijnroute); Lerma-vallei (Cerrillos, La Merced, El Carril, Coronel Moldes, La Viña (technische stop)
Erosie in de regio heeft een opeenvolging van natuurlijke wonderen gevormd, zoals Devil's Throat, een diepe, gesloten kloof. Het amfitheater (met perfecte natuurlijke akoestiek). De pad, de monnik, de obelisk, de kastelen. Beetje bij beetje wordt de dorheid van het landschap vervangen door grote uitgestrekte wijngaarden totdat een van de meest opmerkelijke regio’s binnen de Calchaquí-valleien wordt bereikt: Cafayate, een stad met huizen met één verdieping tussen koloniaal en barok uit de late 19e eeuw. Quebrada de las Conchas: Meer dan 10 stops bij veelkleurige formaties veroorzaakt door wind- en watererosie zoals La Garganta del Diablo, El Anfiteatro, La Yesera, Las Ventanas, Los Castillos, enz.
In Cafayate heeft u de mogelijkheid om een wijnmakerij te bezoeken en de beste wijnen uit de omgeving te proeven. Hoewel de regio altijd verwijst naar Torrontés, heeft de plaats een groot aantal hectare gewijd aan rode druiven zoals Malbec, Tannat of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Bezoek de stad Cafayate en een wijnmakerij. We hebben 2 uur vrije tijd in de stad om te lunchen en te verkennen. Stad met huizen van één verdieping tussen koloniale en barokke architectuur uit de late 19e eeuw. (Lunch en drankjes zijn NIET bij de prijs inbegrepen)
We keerden terug naar Salta via de Quebrada de las Conchas op Route 68, waarbij we de tussenstops maakten die we op de heenreis hadden gemist en door dit prachtige en unieke landschap van Argentinië toerden.
Voordat we in de stad Salta aankomen, maken we een technische stop in La Viña of Talapampa om een snack te kopen of naar het toilet te gaan.

Eén dag vóór elke activiteit ontvangen passagiers een bericht waarin ze worden geïnformeerd over de ophaaltijd en bestemming. Zoektijden zijn tussen 07:00 uur en 07:45 uur In een straal van 15 blokken van Plaza 9 de Julio.

Our guide Jes was great she explained everything in a lot of detail in both Spanish and English, the views were breathtaking. However the bus did not have a functioning AC which made the trip unbearable, we also couldn't open all the windows so the temperature inside and the lack of air was horrid. Personally I also didn't care for the stop in the winery the guide there did her best to explain things in English but it wasn't very good. I understand Spanish and I booked this tour for the Quebrada so it didn't matter to me but if you are interested in that part be aware they don't really speak English.
Tour is great, the Canyon is beautiful and wineries on the other side is interesting as well Tour is done with care, pick up on time. All information is equally in Spanish and English, and the guide takes care so everyone feels good. Van was comfortable, seats had head support The drive is quite long, but road and driver is good. We left salta around 8 and returned around 7-9 as well

Terrible experience on the Tour to Cafayate with Quebrada Turismo which I booked with Getyourguide. Terrible communication with the company. They kept me waiting almost an hour for the pickup. When I informed the guide (Martín) that they had been delayed for a long time, he told me that he is only the guide, that the complaints go to getyourguide or Quebrada Turismo. Martín got all rude because I had complained about the delay in picking up. The visit to the winery is only in Spanish so for those who speak only English it is not worth doing it. The tour doesn't stop in all the viewing points mentioned (only in 4 of them). You just drive and see them as you pass The tour guide Martín was sitting adelites in the van reading the "script" only what we were seeing, little interaction with us. In short, terrible professionalism of the guide Martín and the Quebrada Turismo company
