Een bezoek aan de stad Petrópolis is een duik in onze geschiedenis. Petrópolis staat bekend als de badplaats van de koninklijke familie en herbergt een cultureel erfgoed dat van extreem belang is voor ons land. Het keizerlijk museum is het belangrijkste bezoekpunt, waar u alle meubels, kunstwerken, kleding, sieraden en accessoires die door de koninklijke familie worden gebruikt, van dichtbij kunt bekijken. De stad is heel charmant en het koude klimaat trekt toeristen van over de hele wereld.

Bezoek aan het huis van Dom Pedro II en het keizerlijk museum. Wandelen door de paleiszalen van het keizerlijk museum (een voormalig toevluchtsoord van de keizerlijke familie tijdens de zomermaanden) is als een reis door een geschiedenisboek. Een van de tronen die Dom Pedro II gebruikt, bevindt zich in de State Room. Het gevoel is dat de keizer daar op elk moment kan binnenkomen.
Het was de zomerresidentie van Alberto Santos Dumont, vader van de luchtvaart, bekend als "A Encantada". Het museum heeft een collectie voorwerpen, boeken, brieven en meubels, evenals de douche en de entreetrap, met racketvormige treden, die alleen toegankelijk zijn vanaf de rechtervoet. In het 14 bis Cultureel Centrum, verbonden aan het huis, kan je een korte film bekijken over Santos Dumont. De ruimte heeft toegankelijkheid en tactiele modellen voor bezoekers met speciale behoeften.
Het opende in 1884 om tentoonstellingen van bloemen, vogels en landbouwproducten te huisvesten. De geprefabriceerde structuur, in gietijzer, werd besteld bij een gieterij in Frankrijk door Conde D`Eu en werd geassembleerd in Petrópolis door ingenieur Eduardo Bonjean. Tegenwoordig worden er culturele evenementen en tentoonstellingen gehouden.
Frans gebouw in neogotische stijl. Binnen is er het mausoleum waar de overblijfselen van de keizerlijke familie (Dom Pedro II, Dona Teresa Cristina, prinses Isabel en Conde D`Eu, zijn eerstgeborene D. Pedro de Alcântara en zijn vrouw D. Elisabeth) zich bevinden.sculpturen van Jean Magrou, Bertozzi, glas-in-loodramen en schilderijen van Carlos Oswald zijn te zien. Het gotische altaar bevat relikwieën van de heilige Magno, de heilige Aurelia en de heilige Tecla, meegebracht uit Rome door kardinaal D. Sebastião Leme. De hoofddeuren wegen elk 2.400 kg. Binnen zijn er werken gebeeldhouwd in Carrara-marmer, met de nadruk op de keizerlijke kapel die zich rechts van de hoofdingang van de kathedraal bevindt, in marmer, onyx en brons waar het graf met relikwieën van de Heilige Martelaren, Saint Magnus, Saint Aurelia en Santa Thekla.

We nodigen onze klanten daarom uit om deze notitie zorgvuldig te lezen, zodat ze goed geïnformeerd en voorbereid zijn.
- De tijd die wordt aangegeven op het moment van boeken is louter indicatief. De dag voor de tour nemen we contact met je op via WhatsApp of het boekingsplatform om de exacte ophaaltijd te bevestigen.
- Wanneer de Bohemia Brouwerij gesloten is vanwege renovatiewerkzaamheden, biedt de tour een fascinerend alternatief: een bezoek aan het Wassenbeeldenmuseum! In dit geval vervangt het wassenbeeldenmuseum de brouwerij en biedt een unieke en boeiende ervaring waarin u op een leuke en interactieve manier historische figuren en iconen uit de Braziliaanse cultuur kunt ontdekken.

Cool retreat from Rio heat exploring the Imperial Palace used in Summer by the Royal family. Cathedral had beautiful stained glass windows. Lunch was an average buffet and hotel pick up of all passengers took 2 hours before leaving Rio.

What a dreamy day trip this was! The tour guide, Julio, was very informative --and with good humor made explanations in three languages. The mountain town itself is storybook level and it was an added delight to visit during Christmas time. I highly recommend booking this trip! Admission fees and lunch is covered in the price of the trip which is an added convenience. Attached, just one photo of the exterior of the imperial palace leading up to the entrance.

A sensational 1 day tour. It’s worth it because we passed through the main sights without letting anything pass. The guided visit to the museum with the guide Rafael is excellent as he explains many details that we do not see alone. Very good lunch. We went on a cold day that did not interfere with the tour because most attractions are closed. A true lesson of history of Brazil. We went with 2 kids from 5 and 8 years old and super recommend because they liked a lot, did not get tired, liked all the stops.

Absolutely amazing place. Beautiful experience and cool history of Brazil before they were a Republic. Our tour guide Júlio was wonderful, knowledgeable and fun. We truly enjoyed the day with all the sites, history and chocolate! A must do for sure.
