Begin uw dag met eerste toegang tot de Vaticaanse Musea – geen wachtrij, geen drukte. Ga mee met een kleine groepstour met een deskundige, Engelssprekende gids en verken de meest iconische meesterwerken van het Vaticaan voordat de drukte begint. Kies tussen twee groepsgroottes – intiem (tot 10 gasten) of groep (tot 20 gasten) – voor de ervaring die het beste bij u past. Uw deskundige gids leidt u door de galerijen met boeiende verhalen en inzichten, en onthult de legendes, symboliek en geschiedenis achter de schatten van de musea. Stap tijdens de grote finale van de tour de ontzagwekkende Sixtijnse Kapel binnen en wees getuige van Michelangelo's meesterwerken, waaronder De schepping van Adam en Het Laatste Oordeel. Nu ALTIJD inbegrepen: skip-the-line toegang van de Vaticaanse Musea rechtstreeks naar de Sint-Pietersbasiliek. Hoewel deze toegang geen rondleiding omvat, kunt u de lange rijen omzeilen en de basiliek in uw eigen tempo betreden.

Bezoek de Vaticaanse Musea met snelle toegang, tijdens de eerste beschikbare toegang van de dag.
Deze binnenplaats dankt zijn naam aan het enorme bronzen dennenappelbeeld dat het domineert. Mis Alfredo Pomodoro's beroemde Sphere in Sphere niet terwijl je hier bent. Vraag je gids om er een draai aan te geven!

De beroemdste vleugel van de Vaticaanse Musea, het Pio Clementino-museum, bevat veel van de belangrijkste hoogtepunten van het museum. Je gids neemt je mee door de Room of the Animals, waar je de levensechte beelden van fauna van over de hele wereld kunt spotten. Ga naar de achthoekige binnenplaats waar een kleine fontein sijpelt op de achtergrond van beroemde beelden zoals de Laocoonte en Apollo Belvedere. Vergeet niet om naar de Candelabra Gallery te kijken - meesterschilders hebben deze plafonds eeuwen geleden versierd om de illusie van een 3D-effect te creëren!
Ga met je gids naar de Gallery of the Maps en krijg een perspectief van de wereld zoals die vijf eeuwen geleden was. Deze prachtig gedetailleerde, met de hand geschilderde gigantische kaarten zijn een favoriet van de Vaticaanse Musea. Kijk of je de Italiaanse steden kunt vinden die je hebt bezocht, of ontdek de knipoog naar de reis van Christoffel Columbus naar Amerika.
Raphael schilderde deze kamers met ongelooflijke fresco's, oorspronkelijk bedoeld voor de privékamers van paus Julius II.
In de Sixtijnse Kapel mogen geen gidsen spreken. Je gids zal je echter van tevoren voorbereiden op je vrije tijd binnen, zodat je weet waar je op moet letten.
Uw bezoek eindigt dicht bij waar het begon, na de wenteltrap bij de ingang van de Vaticaanse Musea.
Wanneer optie is geselecteerd, wordt toegang verleend tot St Peter's Basilica, waarbij de wachtrijen worden overgeslagen. Een rondleiding is niet voorzien in de basiliek, alleen toegang. Uw bezoek eindigt bij de trappen van het Sint-Pietersplein met een introductie door uw gids waarna u op eigen houtje verder kunt verkennen.
Alleen voor opties die expliciet de Sint-Pietersbasiliek omvatten: Uw tour omvat toegang tot de Sint-Pietersbasiliek via een speciale uitgang van de Sixtijnse Kapel, waardoor u de gebruikelijke lange toegangsrijen kunt omzeilen. Houd er rekening mee dat deze toegang geen rondleiding in de basiliek omvat.

- Vanwege het jubileum zijn sommige monumenten mogelijk in restauratie. Let op eventuele berichten die we sturen over mogelijke wijzigingen.
- Kinderen jonger dan 6 jaar hebben gratis toegang tot de Vaticaanse Musea (met bewijs van leeftijd)
- Kinderen van 7-18 jaar hebben recht op een gereduceerd entreegeld (zie tour- en ticketprijzen) en moeten een bewijs van leeftijd overleggen.
- Kinderen onder de 18 jaar moeten worden begeleid door een volwassene.
- Een dresscode is vereist om plaatsen van aanbidding en geselecteerde musea te betreden. Geen shorts of mouwloze tops toegestaan. Knieën en schouders MOETEN bedekt zijn voor zowel mannen als vrouwen. U kunt het risico lopen de toegang te worden geweigerd als u zich niet aan deze kledingvereisten houdt.
- Inchecken is 15 minuten voor de geboekte starttijd. Tickets zijn tijdgevoelig en we kunnen geen late aankomsten accommoderen.
- Gasten met een gecertificeerde handicap van meer dan 75% hebben recht op gratis toegang tot het Vaticaan en hebben geen ticket nodig. Voor gasten die niet zelfvoorzienend zijn, wordt de gratis toegang uitgebreid naar een begeleider.
- Vermeld alle namen zoals ze op uw paspoort staan tijdens het boeken. Tickets zijn niet overdraagbaar en als de namen op uw boeking niet overeenkomen met uw ID, kan u de toegang worden geweigerd en is er geen restitutie verschuldigd. Eventuele naamswijzigingen moeten minimaal 72 uur van tevoren worden doorgegeven.
- Neem een legitimatiebewijs of een foto/kopie legitimatiebewijs mee.
- Belangrijk : Van 12 januari tot 31 maart 2026 zullen er conserveringswerken worden uitgevoerd aan het Laatste Oordeel van Michelangelo. De Sixtijnse Kapel blijft open voor bezoekers; het fresco zal echter tijdelijk niet zichtbaar zijn vanwege steigers. Wij danken u voor uw begrip tijdens dit belangrijke conserveringsproject.

Our tour was amazing! We were lucky enough to get Oscar who did a tremendous job guiding us through the tour with great details and facts. Since it was a three hour tour, he didn’t waste our time with uninteresting things and was aware enough to know where the AC were and where the spots were so when he talked, we were able to rest.

Monica was very considerate with people needing extra time for mobility. The 2 minutes breaks we have for pictures were great. The day of the visit the Museum was crowded and our guide was attentive to all of us. Monica was very knowledgeable and dynamic.

We could not be more thankful that we booked this tour!!!! The experience was seamless from beginning to end and we absolutely adored our guide Maria Laura!!!! The meeting point was easy to find, we even grabbed a quick cappuccino across the street before it began. Once we met our guide, we walked across the street to the entrances where we were led to a special line for guided tour groups only. While we did have to wait for about 10-15 minutes (this is the line to go through security and officially enter Vatican City), our amazing guide kept it interesting! She gave us background information and explained what would happen on the tour, making the initial wait time pass quickly. If you can, book the earliest tours available— Our time was at 8:30am and were told that by 10/11, it becomes a madhouse! Once we made it through security, Laura expertly navigated through the museums hitting the highlights, providing amazing information, and answering our questions. Quick note: they provide headsets that attach to your ear allowing you to hear your guide even in the crowded spaces if you are not directly next to them! Great accessibility! The best part about this tour was our easy entry to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. We went straight in from the museums and did not have to wait in an additional line to enter. Since you are not permitted to speak in the Sistine Chapel, Laura explained the details ahead of time before we entered. This was great because it allowed us to notice the details that she taught us while we observed later on! I cannot express enough how worth the money this tour was. The small group of 10 is also DEFINITELY worth it— it is so crowded inside that I couldn’t imagine navigating and staying together with a larger group. This tour is highly rated and highly recommended for a reason. EcoArt hires amazing guides and creates a wonderful experience.
