Haal je om 8.30 uur op bij je accommodatie in Florence. Onze chauffeur zal normaal gesproken om 8.15 uur op uw adres zijn. Vervolgens rijden we naar de eerste wijnmakerij, wat ongeveer 1 uur en 45 minuten duurt.
Bij deze door een familie gerunde wijnmakerij aan de voet van het heuvelachtige Montalcino, wordt u ondergedompeld in de kunst van het wijn maken. Je gaat het hele landgoed verkennen, de wijngaarden en wijnkelders verkennen en het productieproces van Brunello di Montalcino begrijpen. Hun interpretatie van Sangiovese-druiven heeft leven gegeven aan door de wereld geprezen wijnen. Tijdens de wijnproeverij proef je een opmerkelijk palet van hun beste wijnen.
Tenuta Fanti behoort sinds 1800 tot de familie Fanti. Het werd omgevormd van een pachtbedrijf tot een wijnmakerij, wat een belangrijke overgang betekende. Het pand strekt zich uit over 260 hectare grond: 55 hectare wijngaarden, 60 olijfbomen en 145 hectare gewassen en bos die de nieuwe wijnkelder, gebouwd in 2004, omringen. De bodem heeft een vulkanische oorsprong en is rijk aan skelet. De wijnmakerij stapte over op biologische landbouw, in een poging het grondgebied te beschermen en de kwaliteit van de producten te verbeteren, met respect voor de gezondheid van de consument. Hier krijgt u een rondleiding door de wijnmakerij om de filosofie van het bedrijf te begrijpen en samen de verschillende fasen van de wijnproductie te volgen. U zult de identiteit van de wijngaarden begrijpen tijdens de wijnproeverij op het panoramische terras. De wijnen worden gecombineerd met typische Montalcino-gerechten, bereid door de deskundige handen van hun chef-koks. De ervaring gaat gepaard met een proeverij van hun extra vierge olijfolie.
De Villa i Cipressi Estate werd geboren in het midden van de jaren zeventig toen Hubert Ciacci besloot om de kleine imkerij van zijn vader uit te breiden. Het keerpunt kwam in de jaren 90 toen Hubert meer land verwierf gevoed door de wens om olijfolie en heerlijke wijnen te produceren. Tegenwoordig beheren Hubert, Patrizia en hun zonen Dario en Federico het hele landgoed, elk in hun eigen sectoren. Hubert’s schat aan ervaring stuurt deze grote kleine familiegroep aan, waarbij Federico de honing- en wijnproductie coördineert als oenoloog, Dario de verkoop en marketing beheert en Patrizia bijdraagt als imagoconsultant. De liefde van de familie voor de natuur en de grote ecologische geest heeft geleid tot de keuze om zonne-energie te gebruiken als basisenergievoorziening en tot de wens om de productie van het landgoed om te bouwen naar de principes van biologische landbouw.

Our guide Francisco was wonderful. The wineries we did visit were delightful. We learned a great deal about my one complaint is that I was really looking forward to Tenuta di Collosorbo. I was told that in the fine print it says this winery is not available on the weekend. I still can’t find the “fine print” saying that. If the wineries had not been misrepresented I would have given 5 stars.

Where to start. Certainly by saying that it was a memorable day!! We had the desire to discover the Val d'Orcia in its beauty and its secrets. The person who took care of us and made us live this wonderful experience was, Stefano. He arranged everything for us. He guided us and passed on all his knowledge and passion. He accompanied us, told us and made us enter a new world. We visited two beautiful wineries, each with its own history and personality, where we tasted various types of Brunello, Rosso di Montalcino and why not, even a honey tasting, nothing short of exceptional!! He reserved lunch for us in a restaurant of typical Tuscan cuisine, in an unknown place and with a breathtaking view. And finally... discovering Pienza!! I can't find the words to describe it, except to live it! Pure magic! Grazie ❤️

Our wine tour in Montalcino was an absolutely fantastic experience, thanks to our incredible guide Angel. We spent the day with Stefano driving us to 3 vineyards. He picked us up promptly at 830 from our hotel and drove to the first stop. It’s close to a 2 hour drive. Stefano made the time go by by talking us and getting to know us and telling us a little history here and there where it was appropriate. We had an informative tour with the owner of a unique female owned winery. After, we sat down to a tasting of 4-5 wines. Next we went to a larger (but still small) production winery. We had a delicious lunch paired with 6-7 wine tastings and 4 olive oils followed by a tour of their production facilities. Our last stop was a beautiful family owned vineyard where we got to walk among some of the vines on the way to our tasting of 5 wines and their honey. Each winery tasting was of their Rosso and Brunneli di Montelcino wines. Yet each winery had a unique and completely different feel. The Tuscan scenery kept getting better on the way to the next stop. My husband and I took this tour together. We enjoy wine but we are very novice at wine tastings. We very much enjoyed this day being with just our guide, stopping at the 3 unique wineries and getting to see the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The tour is pricey but having Stefano as our private driver, not having to figure out where we wanted to tour, making reservations and worrying about driving ourselves made it all worth it.

We had been on wine tours before but this one was truly amazing. Our tour guide Paola was very knowledgeable on the space and made us feel so welcomed. The lunch that we had was not only one of the tastiest but super scenic! We love looking back and thinking of our day in Brunello and cannot recommend this tour enough!!

Our private tour with Angel was perfect. He took the time to tell us the history of of each area that we were visiting. His knowledge was beyond excellent.
