Je gids geeft je een schat aan informatie over het San Marcoplein en begeleidt je 's middags op een gedetailleerde rondleiding door de Gouden Basiliek vanaf het San Marcoplein, ooit de privékapel van de Doge van Venetië, de enige van zijn soort in Italië, dankzij de weelderige gouden mozaïeken en indrukwekkende marmeren inlegvloeren. Tijdens de rondleiding kunt u de sfeer opsnuiven terwijl u luistert naar uw gids die de bijbelse taferelen in het hele gebouw zal beschrijven, samen met de geschiedenis en bijzonderheden van deze oude basiliek. De tour duurt een uur en eindigt buiten de basiliek op het San Marcoplein.

- Geef de volledige namen van alle reizigers bij het boeken. Het niet voorleggen van een voucher met de volledige naam van alle reizigers bij de ticketbalie voorafgaand aan de toegang kan leiden tot toegang tot de attractie.
- Elke reiziger dient een geldig paspoort of ID-document te tonen dat overeenkomt met de naam die bij het boeken is opgegeven voor een succesvolle toegang tot de San Marcobasiliek.

Meh ... We were able to quickly and lately book this tour. It was an hour long, the guide was courteous, but unfortunately the day was rainy, and dreary, which made the basilica extremely busy and loud. There was ongoing construction causing noise in the basilica, the guide spike softly, and the English was not understandable. It was dark and crowded. It just wasn't a good experience. Could have skipped it, but now know what the inside of the basilica looks like. In summary, the day was dreary, getting into the basilica was overcomplicated and overrun, the basilica was too dark, and crowded to really appreciate, plus the guide wasn't understandable.

It said to get there 15 minutes before start and to get there at 2:45 which makes you think it starts at 3. I tried to message someone as the vaporetto transport took more time than anticipated due to wait time and we were a few minutes late. We arrived at 2:59. The left at 2:45 and gave us 6 dollar to tickets to enter and had no way to get us to our guide. The tickets were in no way special and did not get us to any special areas. They need to re write the description to say to get there at 2:30 and they leave at 2:45. Newcomers to Venice may also have issues because google map times do not take into account the wait time to get onto the vaporetto.
It was okay, neither good nor bad. Of course the basilica is fabulous and must be visited. The guide was acceptable but not great.
This was our best tour ever. Having the opportunity to visit Saint Mark's church whitout crowds it's incredible. Unique experience, staff was really friendly and the guide was awesome. We recommend it to anyone who wants to experience something different.

The night visit to St Mark's Basilica was well organized. Clear directions on the meeting point and satisfactory explanations of the excellent guide in Italian. Wonderful and unique mosaics, treasure and Crypt. We were two groups of about 30 people far from each other in Basilica closed to the public.

Seeing the Basilica at nite is special. The mosaics stand out even more in the night lighting. And having all the lights turned off for a bit and then turned on gradually is really amazing. Our guide, Iole was great. Very informative, friendly, fun.

Fantastic experience! We were fortunate to have Iole as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and made all the history come alive - my kids who are not history buffs were enthralled (that says a lot) and she always made it a point to include them! Totally recommend! Best guide we encountered and the most interesting tour of our stay in Venice.

We visited St. Mark’s on a Friday evening-small group of 20 people. Beautiful cathedral and interesting talk on the history. Wonderful way to tour without the day time crowds. Very private... a must see.
