Walk&Wine is een van de weinige tours in de stad die een excursie biedt waarbij je niet alleen kleine bedrijven bezoekt die deel uitmaken van de geschiedenis van de stad, maar ook dat alles wat je eet of drinkt wordt geproduceerd door lokale producenten uit het noorden van Portugal en andere regio's (zoals de Azoren-kaas die afkomstig is van de Portugese eilanden). Bovendien worden veel van deze restaurants door zowel toeristen als de lokale bevolking als verborgen juweeltjes beschouwd, dus mis de kans niet om de ware smaken van de stad te proeven in restaurants die verborgen zijn op klaarlichte dag, maar een unieke ervaring zijn. Tijdens onze stadstour nemen we ook enkele van de meest interessante bezienswaardigheden van Porto op. Denk niet twee keer na! We bieden kazen, wijnen, bieren en verschillende gerechten aan en ik wed dat je wel eens van pastel de nata (Portugese slagroomtaart) hebt gehoord, maar nog nooit van het shot pastel de nata, kom het proberen!

Santiago was wonderful but he said to me “had I known You were gluten free I would chosen different food stops”. And yet I told them when I set it up. I think I should be compensated as this is incredibly annoying since I told when I booked it and after they cancelled the progressive dinner tour.
This is an absolutely amazing experience from start to end, although the absolute cherry on the cake was the food at the end the chef was also the waitress and a server and she was fantastic. The food was 2nd to none I would seriously recommend it to anyone coming to Porto.
Had a great time with Santiago! Great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and the food and locations were perfect. We would have never tried them ourselves but so glad we did.
We enjoyed getting a sample of typical food and drink from non-touristic restaurants in Porto. Since the portions were small, we were able to have a small taste of many items we might not have ordered as a single entree without knowing if we would like it. From the Bacalhau to the Ginja shot, it was a great learning experience. My favorite was the Francesinha.) Our guide, the smiling Santiago, led us to several places - some with lovely gardens and tables outside their back doors. He was open to any and all questions, and very friendly.
Our guide, Santiago, knows Porto “hidden gems” and has warm relationships with so many people at these restaurants. It was a real pleasure to be with him and meet the restaurateurs!! The food and drinks were all excellent! You will be really happy that you booked this tour!
What an incredible way to explore the hidden gems of Porto! Santiago was a fun and knowledgeable guide. At each stop, he had something delicious planned and was willing to make any adjustments to make our experience the best possible. A great option if you are up for a little bit of everything!
Santiago was amazing, very personable and shared a lot of information about Porto and Portugal recent history. Places we went were off the beaten path, not places we would have found on our own. Tasted good food and drinks, some we had never heard of and wouldn’t have known to try.
This was such a fun experience with our young guide Santiago. He was engaging and delightful to talk with--and he took us to several establishments around the city where we sampled some local favorites. Wear comfortable shoes since this is a walking tour. This is the kind of tour we were looking for, as Santiago pointed out sites along the way as we moved from one spot to another. In one case, our tasting was in a lovely tucked-away courtyard we never would have known about.
Our foursome’s favorite tour of our Portugal trip!! Santiago was pleasant, interesting and authentic. Visited off-the-beaten-path places for the best foods and drinks in Porto!! Highly recommended for a private experience of Porto’s taste sensations!!
