Deze tour is perfect voor reizigers die een lokale ervaring willen opdoen! Ontmoet je lokale, tweetalige expert en ontdek hoe het is om deel uit te maken van de gemeenschap in Florence! Bij onze eerste stop krijgen we een beetje Italiaanse koffie. Bekijk onze koffiecultuur uit de eerste hand en ontdek waarom het zo'n belangrijk onderdeel is van onze dagelijkse routine. Vervolgens gaan we naar de bruisende lokale markt om de seizoensproducten te bekijken, lokale slagers en vissers te ontmoeten en natuurlijk nog een heerlijke proeverij. Als we verder gaan, maken we een wandeling door het stadscentrum en stoppen we bij een paar verschillende familiewinkels om een aantal traditionele favorieten te proeven, waaronder Florentijns straatvoedsel, Toscaanse zoetigheden, olijfolie, vleeswaren, kazen, truffels, gerijpte balsamico, wijn, en nog veel meer! Sluit de tour af met een heerlijke lokale favoriet, een rijke, romige gelato! Deze wandeltocht omvat 5-6 stops en 10 proeverijen!

We beginnen in de zeer lokale wijk Sant' Ambrogio. Hier zullen we een paar verschillende kleine winkeltjes bezoeken om lokale favorieten te proeven. Onze proeverijen tijdens de tour omvatten alles van cantucci, coccoli, pizette, vleeswaren, kazen, olijfolie, truffel en nog veel meer!
Na een paar proeverijen in het Sant' Ambrogio-gebied, maken we een mooie wandeling door het stadscentrum, kronkelend en draaiend door de lokale straten om een andere lokale wijk binnen te gaan.
Geniet van het uitzicht op de Ponte Vecchio terwijl we doorgaan met onze proeverij!

I just went to find Christy's tour information for a friend and realized that I never wrote a review. I've been on a bunch of food tours over the years and this was one of my favorites. Even in a city crowded with tourists like Florence, you get a sense of how the locals live and eat. Christy is lovely and the food was great. Overall it was a fabulous experience.

Our guide was Danilo who did a fantastic job of showing us some of the less touristy sides of Florence. He had a great relationship with the venues he took us to and it felt like a really special event. Danilo himself spoke excellent English, was knowledgeable (although it wasn’t a historical tour) and was super friendly. We learned lots and it definitely enriched our trip. We would definitely recommend him to friends. The tour wasn’t too long, in terms of distance. We made a slight mistake in walking to the start of the tour from our hotel, about an hour’s walk away, so we’re relieved not to be walking 20,000 steps across Florence.

Super fun, great food, wine and company. Our tour guide Tatiana was genuine, warm and kind. I’d recommend this tour to everyone - just super nice to walk around Florence and enjoy some fun conversation and local food/coffee/wine.

We had a wonderful time with Christy. The food was well-paced and consistently delicious. The samples were small at each location, and all thoughtfully planned to showcase seasonal fruits and fresh ingredients. The guide was great. Very knowledgeable, pleasant and gave us a good insight into life in Florence from a local point of view. Was a casual pleasant walk around the old town. We weren’t very hungry so she adapted the tour to us quite well…but we could have done with more than 1 glass of wine however !

We were a group of 3 on this tour with Christy. We especially enjoyed her perspective as being raised in the U.S. but living in Italy for the past 10 years. She could communicate very naturally as both an American and a Native to Florence. The number of stops and variety of tastes made this tour very worthwhile, as well as the starting point near a fresh market just outside of the center of the city where you then proceed to walk toward the main center of Florence, made this an ideal tasting tour. We especially were impressed by the hidden gems like the sandwich shop and the wine cellar. I would highly recommend, especially as one of the first activities as a good orientation to the city.
