Eswatini (Swaziland) 1-daagse landtour vanuit Maputo

Beschrijving

Amazing! Absolutely recommend. I was able to have a glimpse into another culture. Wonderful country! Absolutely should be visited. Special thank you to our guide Alfainho, very respectful, knowledgeable and very organized. He was an amazing guide.
Thank-you for taking the time to review our Eswatini 1-Day Country Tour. We're happy to hear that everything went well. It's a long trip, and a very rewarding one!
we ended up reaching at almost 9pm.. We were stuck at the immigration when re-entering Mozambique borders.. The immigrant officer cited ‘portocol’ that they needed copies of our 1 ) passports 2 ) accommodation payment receipts, 3 ) ETA / VISA 4 ) ETA payment receipt / VISA payment receipt ( our passport is VISA exempted ), even though we have a copy of ETA ( multiple entry for 30 days ETA ) which we used to enter at the airport. They refused to accept the version on our phone. And insisted that we find a way to get it photocopied. Most of shops was closed and we only managed to get to a photocopy shop quite a distance away..( having to pay to ride a bike ) So, if you have plans to re-enter, please get all this documents ( 3 copies ) ready, as they was keep all of it and you’ll still require it when you exit the immigration gate ( after they stamped our passports ) and when you are exiting the country! ( none of the immigration officers wore name tags, so you know how difficult they can make things be without getting into trouble ) Due to the bushfire event .. security could have been abit tighter than usual.. do put on your seatbelts.. we were fined in Eswatini ( approx 60 Rand per pax ) .. We did not managed to eat at House of Fire as intended due to the festival.. ( the tour operator said they will change another restaurant a few days before the trip, but most probably did not inform our driver ) we did managed to find another restaurant near by “Rudi’s kitchen”.. just a simple place with great food. We appreciate the picnic basket provided after the camp..with Portuguese egg tarts, drinks and peanuts .. Just a note to tour operator, maybe consider providing driver with data roaming .. so driver could reach for advice on what to do when they encountered a situation. Overall, it’s a good experience to be able to visit Eswatini as a one day tour .. we love it… we hope this review will help future guest have a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.. We’ll recommend it.. but we won’t do it again! Once is enough!!
One of our challenges as operators is the unpredictability of officials on both sides of the border. We regularly deal with "new" rules. In relation to the new eTA we did advise you, as we do to all clients, both at the time of booking, and the Whatsapp message the day before the tour, that you must take your passport AND receipt. One thing where officials are consistent, they want paper, showing these documents on your phone is rarely accepted. Here below is the message we sent you when you made the booking, and the day before the tour: ======================= Thank-you for your reservation. Please ensure that you don't require a visa for Eswatini and that you have the correct visa to return to Mozambique - if in doubt you can send a picture of it to our Whatsapp number. (Most visas, especially those issued on arrival, are now multiple entry.) For the Tour you may wish to take: Passport (& receipt if from visa exempt country) (Required) Sunscreen Camera Hat/cap Cash/bank card for any souvenir purchases etc. (Lunch and water is included) If staying at a hotel you may with to request a breakfast pack as we leave early and breakfast is not included. Please be ready for a very long day, we will drive almost 450km as much of the beauty of Eswatini is found in the Ezulwini Valley. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. =========================
Clesio was a fantastic guide and driver for our day experiencing Eswatini. It’s a long day but well worth it to experience this beautiful country when you’re limited on time from Maputo. Recommended.
Thank-you for taking to time to review our Eswatini Tour. We are glad you had a memorable day!
The trip to Swaziland was amazing! The guide Alfainho is the best guide of Maputo: was at the hotel at the agreed time, explained everything he could during the trip, helped us with the border procedures, finally, was an exceptional guide and driver! Going to Swaziland was one of the best experiences of my life! I indicate to everyone both the guide Alfainho as well as the company Maputo Tours. Everything was great!
Agradecemos imensamente pela sua avaliação. Eswatini realmente é uma experiencia unica, e o Alfainho é um guia que sempre da o seu melhor!
We had a great experience and a great 1 day trip to Eswatini with Tours Maputo. Our tour guide Ofiço was also great. He was ontime, very polite, helping, safe driving and patient during the entire trip. We are very happy travelling with Tours Maputo. We do strictly recommend for others who also are interested of exploring Eswatini to prefer Tours Maputo.
Many thanks for your review. We, and Ofiço, pride ourselves on our professionalism so we are glad this was appreciated!
I have used Tours Maputo now for 3 separate tours (2 Kruger trips and 1 Eswatini), and every experience has been great. There is great communication between the booking, before, and the day of the event. The price is clear. Alfa is the BEST!! The tour guides are amazing all around and super helpful with the border crossings, which can be busy and confusing for first timers. I thoroughly enjoyed all the trips I have taken with them! This Eswatini trip was a last minute decision for me, and I am so glad I did it! Very educational, cultural, you get to see the country. I just loved it all. Highly recommend Tours Maputo.
We loved this tour! Cannot recommend Alfainho, our tour guide, enough! He was kind, informative, and punctual. He was very helpful with customs and communication with various government officials. Highly recommend! We would absolutely use Tours Maputo and Alfainho for future activities in the area!
Fantastic trip to Eswatini. Door-to-door service, everything taken care of and couldn’t have been easier. My guide, Ofiço, was very knowledgeable and helpful about both Eswatini and Mozambique, and he made sure we saw as much of Eswatini as possible on our trip. Would recommend to anyone!
This is a very nice way to experience Eswatini from Maputo, it's a long drive but what you will experience at the destination is very interstellar and nice.
Since I was in Maputo I was very close to the country of Eswatini so I was looking for a great day tour that could take me there and back in just one day, I chose well with this tour. The tour started when my tour guide, Alfainho, picked me up from my hotel at 5:30 am and ended when he dropped me back off a little bit after 6 pm. This was a long day tour but totally worth it. We crossed the Mozambique-Eswatini border around 7:30 am and arrived at the first stop of our tour at the Hlane National Park game reserve around 9 am. We spent about 20 to 30 minutes at this spot, I got to see some wildlife including impalas, gazelles, warthogs, and baboons while we were driving and also rhinos while we were at the camp. Once we left the camp we drove another 1.5 hours or so out to the Mantenga National Park and Swazi Cultural Village. I loved the visit to this spot since we got to take a tour of a traditional Swazi tribal village, learn about their culture, and watch one of their traditional dance shows after the tour. We also visited the Mantenga Waterfall after the show and then we left this sight and drove to go get lunch. The restaurant we visited for lunch was great and the price was included in the tour. After lunch we went to a local crafts market to see how the unique Swazi candles were made and to do a little bit of souvenir shopping. Once that was done then we started the drive back to the border and then onwards towards Maputo. A big thank you to my guide, Alfainho, for the excellent job he did being my guide and driver for this tour. He made sure I was safe all throughout and he taught me a lot about Eswatini and Mozambique. Definitely consider booking this tour while you’re in Maputo, it’s an excellent tour and the perfect way to add Eswatini to your countries visited list without having to pay for a separate plane ticket and hotel accommodation. - Nolan
