Ontdek het historische hart van Madrid bij Puerta del Sol. Leer meer over de beroemde Km 0-markering, het ruiterstandbeeld van koning Carlos III en de indrukwekkende architectuur van het oude postkantoor te midden van de vele monumenten op dit bruisende plein.
Wandel door Calle Arenal en bezoek de historische San Ginés churro winkel, de oudste in Madrid. Vlak naast de deur kunt u de oude San Ginés-kerk verkennen, waarvan wordt aangenomen dat het de oudste van de stad is, die dateert uit een tijd dat deze buiten de stadsmuren stond.

Paula was our guide and luckily for us the group was small which is our preference. Paula ‘s knowledge was impressive . She was very generous with tips about where to eat and shop and what was a speciality of a particular business. We were the oldest in the group and everyone was so kind for us not to be rushed. Paula was our amazing tour guide for this 2 hour walking tour. We booked it through DiscoverWalks, but it was run by MADride. Because it was a free tour (paid by tips at the end), I had very low expectations. I was very wrong because this tour blew us away. Paula was super fun and had all kinds of details at every corner. She was the best tour guide we had in all of Spain (and we had a bunch this trip). She accommodated a few requests like stopping to grab a coffee and helped us with the cookies at the convent. She kept our 3 teens engaged and interested the whole time. An unexpected bonus was that she gave us a bunch of food recs at the end. We used 3 of them and she was spot on with these good places. I'm not sure how you request Paula, but if you can, you should!

The tour covered the highlights. Which is all I can say. Our guide was a sweet young girl but her knowledge and enthusiasm was basic. She was an American student who has been in Madrid for 2 years. As I said we saw the basic areas as outlined in the tour. But her knowledge and enthusiasm was basic to say the least. We have been traveling for 2 weeks and this was our 6th tour and unfortunately it was our least favorite.

We recently upload this tour so there is not way you could come to this PRIVATE TOUR without booking and paying the full group, and we haven't received any booking yet, because is new.
