Essence of St. Lucia is een geweldige erfgoed-, culturele en culinaire ervaring. Je ervaring begint met een mooie rit naar Greenwood Terrace, de thuisbasis van Barefoot Holidays St. Lucia. Maak een ontspannen wandeling met onze gids die u door onze kleine boerderij zal leiden. Hier zou je een educatieve informatie krijgen over alle bloemen, fruitbomen en kruiden die in onze prachtige tuin zijn geplant. Er zijn veel spannende dingen te zien en te leren over terwijl u naar ons eigen museum loopt. Ons museum is de thuisbasis van vele opwindende artefacten met een rijke geschiedenis. Onze deskundige gids neemt je mee op een reis van het verleden naar het heden, terwijl ons team een aantal smakelijke traktaties voor je bereidt, gemaakt met veel van het fruit dat je op de boerderij hebt gezien. Essence of St. Lucia is echt een authentieke St. Lucian-ervaring die het verleden en het heden combineert terwijl je de smaken van het eiland ziet, proeft en ruikt, terwijl je het leven hier in vervlogen tijden ontdekt, verkent en leert. Bezoekers worden meegenomen door de levendige tropische tuinen, vol met meer dan 300 soorten bloeiende planten. De deskundige gids laat je de verschillende planten zien, aanraken en ruiken terwijl je hun interessante medicinale eigenschappen leert en hoe ze worden gebruikt door de eilandbewoners. Bezoek daarna een traditionele medicinale tuin, gevuld met een verscheidenheid aan kruiden en specerijen, die zowel voor medicinale als culinaire doeleinden worden gebruikt. Na de Garden-tour worden bezoekers meegenomen naar het unieke minimuseum op het terrein, om getuige te zijn van artefacten uit het fascinerende verleden van St. Lucia. Ten slotte worden gasten getrakteerd op een bemonsteringssessie, waar ze kunnen genieten van een paar lokale delicatessen, snoepjes en alcoholische dranken.

Excellent tour of an estate garden. Ours was a small group, with a fabulous tour guide. We were served a delightful lunch of local dishes which were flavourful (while not overly hot for us with tender palates, LoL!)

Our Tour of a farm with guide Cion was wonderful !! He was very knowledgeable of all the trees and plants. We finished up with a wonderful food tasting that included Rum Punch and were told all the ingredients were from the small farm that we visited. The woman who served the food made it all. Lucious! The items inside were spectacular and need to be in a museum for St. Lucia. Driver, Sammy was fabulous too with funny, interesting stories. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!!!

We had such a lovely morning Greenwood Terrace. Showane "Sherwin" Williams was an excellent tour guide - and really took his time walking us through the gardens and museum space. We learned so much! Sylvia prepared a wonderful sampling of local fruits and delicacies. I love that we got to experience sight, smell, and taste all within the same tour. Thank you all for your hospitality!
