Als u Barcelona bezoekt en het meeste uit uw tijd hier wilt halen, nodig ik u uit om het op twee wielen te ontdekken met mij, een doorgewinterde en deskundige Gids. Met meer dan 260 kilometer fietspaden is Barcelona een zeer "fietsvriendelijke" stad om te bezoeken. Beginnend in de historische "Gotische wijk", dan reizend naar de "Eixample" wijk die werd gebouwd na de sloop van de middeleeuwse stadsmuren, gaan we verder naar het Olympisch dorp, fietsend langs de prachtige kustlijn van Barcelona naar Port Vell (de oude haven). Ga met mij mee voor een spannende, onderhoudende en informatieve reis. Terwijl u de meeste bekende bezienswaardigheden van Barcelona ontdekt, leert u ook over de geschiedenis, stedelijke ontwikkeling, architectuur en het politieke landschap van de stad. Antoni Gaudí's "must-see" creaties, de buitengewone Sagrada Familia, Casa Milà (ook bekend als "La Pedrera") en Casa Batlló zullen de hoogtepunten van deze tour zijn.

Dit is ons ontmoetingspunt en een van de mooiste pleinen in Barcelona – zo niet het mooiste. In het midden staat de opmerkelijke Fontein van de Drie Gratiën, en in de buurt kunt u twee unieke lantaarnpalen bewonderen, ontworpen door Antoni Gaudí zelf.
Een prachtig plein dat dient als het politieke hart van de stad, de thuisbasis van zowel het stadhuis van Barcelona (Ajuntament) en het Paleis van de Catalaanse regering (Palau de la Generalitat).
De kathedraal van het Heilig Kruis en Sint Eulalia is een prachtig middeleeuws meesterwerk. Direct buiten op het plein kunt u ook indrukwekkende overblijfselen bewonderen van de oude Romeinse muren die ooit de stad beschermden.
Een beroemde en spectaculaire modernistische concertzaal ontworpen door Lluís Domènech i Montaner, een belangrijke hedendaagse architect van Antoni Gaudí. Dit adembenemende gebouw werd in 1997 uitgeroepen tot UNESCO Werelderfgoed.
Gelegen aan de Passeig de Gràcia, de meest elegante laan van de stad, is dit het meest prestigieuze blok van het Catalaanse modernisme. Hier kunt u drie architectonische meesterwerken naast elkaar bewonderen: Casa Batlló (van Antoni Gaudí), Casa Amatller (van Josep Puig i Cadafalch) en Casa Lleó i Morera (van Lluís Domènech i Montaner).
Antoni Gaudí’s laatste civiele werk en een van zijn meest prominente en imposante meesterwerken, ook gelegen aan de chique Passeig de Gràcia.
Antoni Gaudí’s ultieme meesterwerk en zijn levenswerk. Tot op de dag van vandaag is deze spectaculaire basiliek nog steeds niet af, een absolute must-see en het meest iconische, buitengewone monument in Barcelona.
Gebouwd als de grote toegangspoort voor Barcelona's eerste Wereldtentoonstelling in 1888. Het staat aan het begin van de Passeig de Lluís Companys, die rechtstreeks leidt naar het Ciutadella Park waar de tentoonstellingspaviljoens zich bevonden.
Ooit was dit de plek van een militair fort, dit prachtige park werd aangelegd in de late 19e eeuw en is uitgegroeid tot de meest populaire groene ruimte van de stad. Tijdens onze rit ontdekken we de monumentale waterval, het schilderachtige roeibootmeer, het historische paradeterrein (Plaça d'Armes) en de overgebleven gebouwen van de oude citadel.
Gebouwd en ontwikkeld voor de Olympische Spelen van 1992, was deze wijk de katalysator voor het openen van Barcelona naar de zee. Tegenwoordig biedt het een schilderachtige, luchtige rit langs de getransformeerde waterkant en moderne haven.
Een rit door La Barceloneta, ooit een traditionele vissers- en arbeiderswijk die vandaag de dag ongelooflijk levendig en schilderachtig blijft.
Vandaag de dag een luxe jachthaven met enkele van 's werelds duurste superjachten, dit gebied ligt aan wat ooit de oude commerciële haven van de stad was. Het biedt een prachtig, weids uitzicht op de hele historische haven.

Great tour with Jean-Pierre, very well-suited to children and adults, and to what we wanted to do based on what we had already seen…. Jean-Pierre is a guide who knows Barcelona by heart and is passionate about its history. He tells stories very well and also helps us find our way around the city! Jean Pierre is an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable. My family were the only people for this tour and he was flexible for minor customizations that we requested. 3 hour tour without getting physically tired for the rest of the day, made it really worthwhile

Take this tour, it’s a delightful experience! Jean-Pierre is a wealth of knowledge about Barcelona and a patient, joy filled guide. Our group of 4 met him at an easy to find plaza, picked up bikes and saw more sites in a few hours than most would see in several days. What an absolute pleasure! My son and I were the only ones taking the tour on this hot Saturday in July, and we had the most wonderful time. We literally saw all the major sites of Barcelona and zipped through the streets with our guy, Jean Pierre, who is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. We love bike tours because you get to see so much more than a walking tour, and your feet don’t get tired. Jean Pierre was FABULOUS- he had extensive knowledge of the city, its history and architecture. He kept just the right pace with the ride and the comments at each stop. If you’ve never done a bike tours, you need to do this one. If you’ve never done have done bike tours, you still need to do this one- and if you’re lucky, you’ll get Jean Pierre.
