Ontdek Český Krumlov op de ontspannen manier — zonder de haast die typisch is voor de meeste dagtochten. Reis in een kleine groep en geniet van een dagtocht waarbij u een van Europa’s mooiste middeleeuwse stadjes combineert met een authentiek Boheems dorp. Na het ophalen van het hotel in Praag, gaan we naar Český Krumlov. Met je Gids verken je zowel iconische hoogtepunten als rustigere hoekjes die de meeste bezoekers nooit vinden. De wandeling omvat meestal bezoeken aan lokale ambachtslieden zoals een juwelier, smid of leerambachtsman. Op warme dagen kunnen we ook lokaal ambachtelijk bier proeven. We maken een speciale stop in Holašovice, een klein UNESCO-geklasseerd dorp, waar we praten over het Tsjechische dorpsleven, tradities en folklore. Bij de meeste bezoeken worden we verwelkomd door een lokale inwoner wiens familie hier al meer dan 500 jaar woont, en delen alledaagse voorwerpen en persoonlijke verhalen van het plattelandsleven. We beginnen bovenaan — letterlijk. Nadat we vroeg zijn aangekomen (voor de grote drukte), parkeren we boven de stad en beginnen we aan een begeleide wandeling door het kasteelcomplex (buitenkanten), waarbij we genieten van een prachtig uitzicht over de daken en de bochten van de rivier de Moldau terwijl we zachtjes afdalen langs een geplaveid pad. Van daaruit verkennen we wat ooit drie afzonderlijke historische steden waren: Latrán, de oude binnenstad en de Joodse wijk. Elk heeft zijn eigen unieke vibe, en we nemen de tijd om ervan te genieten. Dit is geen checklistmars — we bewegen in een ontspannen, rustig tempo en stoppen voor foto's, verhalen en lokale inzichten. Onderweg ontdekken we verborgen juweeltjes die de meeste tours overslaan — van weggestopte uitzichtpunten tot charmante ambachtelijke winkels en rustige hoekjes die kilometers ver van het centrale plein vandaan voelen. Na de begeleide wandeling heb je voldoende vrije tijd om in je eigen tempo van Český Krumlov te genieten. Of je nu zin hebt om koffie te drinken bij de rivier, door verborgen straatjes te dwalen, lokale ambachtelijke winkels te bekijken, foto's te maken of gewoon te genieten van de sfeer, de tijd is aan jou. Uw Gids zal u graag musea, uitzichtpunten, cafés, schilderachtige wandelingen of rustige plekjes aanbevelen op basis van uw interesses - zonder een vast programma of haastig van plaats naar plaats. Je bent vrij om te onderzoeken wat je het meest aantrekt op het moment. Houd er rekening mee dat de toegang tot het interieur van het kasteel varieert per seizoen. De Kasteeltoren is het hele jaar door geopend (behalve op maandag), terwijl andere interieurs alleen beschikbaar zijn tijdens rondleidingen. Als u geïnteresseerd bent, zal uw Gids u graag adviseren over de beste beschikbare opties op de dag. Als het tijd is om verder te gaan, ontmoeten we elkaar op een handige, vooraf afgesproken plek in de buurt van het centrum, zodat je niet meer bergop hoeft te lopen. We maken een speciale stop in Holašovice — een klein, prachtig bewaard gebleven dorpje dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat. We brengen hier wat ontspannen tijd door om de benen te strekken en te genieten van de rustige sfeer van landelijk Zuid-Bohemen. Uw Gids introduceert de unieke lay-out, geschiedenis, volkstradities en het dagelijks leven van het dorp en biedt een rustig contrast met de drukte van Český Krumlov. Bij de meeste bezoeken worden we verwelkomd op een kleine privéboerderij door een lokale inwoner wiens familie al meer dan 500 jaar in het dorp woont. Hij deelt een bescheiden verzameling alledaagse landbouwwerktuigen en huishoudelijke voorwerpen die generaties lang zijn gebruikt, samen met persoonlijke verhalen over het dorpsleven. We booked this tour just the night before, and now we both feel it was the best decision we made on our very first day in Prague. It set the tone for our whole trip. My husband is visiting Prague for the first time, and he was deeply impressed by the opportunity to see UNESCO‑listed villages and even step inside a local home to talk with a family there. Those genuine, personal moments made Czech history and village life feel vivid and unforgettable. Our guide Ondřej was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing rich stories and context at every stop while staying attentive and sensitive to our needs and interests. He introduced us to delicious local food, including koláč, and helped us avoid tourist traps with his honest recommendations. The van was super comfortable and the ride so smooth that my husband actually fell asleep for part of the journey, completely relaxed. We were also very grateful that Ondřej assisted us with getting tickets to the Baroque theatre, which became a highlight of the day. From punctual pickup to thoughtful pacing, everything felt warm, well organized, and truly special.
This was a fantastic day trip. We got picked up from our hotel in Prague by our guide Ondrej. We travelled in a comfortable mini van and Ondrej was a very pleasant company throughout. He is very knowledgable, kind and understanding. He helped us get back a purse that my daughter left in a toilet in a gas station and I very much appreciate his patience and kindness in this situation, as it must have been very annoying. Cesky Krumlov is such a lovely, fairytale like place. It's like we stepped into a story setting from another century. We had plenty of time to explore and never felt rushed. One of the most beautiful towns I have ever seen. Holasovice was also a great experience, very authentic place. Ondrej was very thoughtful and hot us desserts and cheese plates to try. He is also a very good driver and generally easy-going. We can recommend this trip to everyone as we all enjoyed it a lot.

We had very comfortable accommodation, a very comprehensive tour and a wonderful local lunch. The day couldn’t have been more perfect. First stop was Holašovice, a beautiful UNESCO heritage town where you get to meet a true treasure of a man (I wish I could remember his name!). He gives you a glimpse of what life was like living in a small farming town. Make sure you have him tell you his family ties to NYC. Make sure to stop into the local ceramic shop. After a delicious lunch at a bistro in Cesky Krumlov that overlooks the river (food is so fresh and homemade), Ondrej will take you from the top of the town with magnificent view points through the castle grounds down to the town. You will have free time to explore the picturesque town and its many shops. Loved seeing the local garnets and moldavite, gingerbread, blacksmith and other shops. It is such a wonderful town to wander around in. The van is comfy and has A/C. I already want to go again!

Great day trip to Cesky Krumlov. Nice pace. Great stop off in little village to get a feel for the country life. Very nice to get some free time to wander the beautiful town. Good info about history and castle over past 800 years. Guide was great. On time and communicative before, after, and during the tour. You need to Czech this out.
