If an adventure is what you’re looking for, an adventure is what you’ll get! It’s always difficult knowing which tour to book and trusting that you’ll actually get an experience that feels truly unique—but you can rest assured, this one will not disappoint! From the beautiful drive to an absolutely breathtaking hike and waterfall, this is one of those experiences that photographs simply won’t do justice. This is the kind of adventure you won’t find in many places, and if you’re lucky enough to have Sirena Sastre as your guide (which I’m sure you can request!), you’re in for an even more memorable experience. By the end of the day, you’ll feel like you’ve met up with a long-lost friend. The hike can be a bit slippery so be sure to get a shoe that has some grip that you don’t mind getting muddy. We got the Aqurun for around $20 which worked out perfectly. While most of the trail is flat be prepared to climb a little and cross a river or two! The guide will help you when needed! Since this isn’t a well known spot you may even get it to yourselves which is such a remarkable experience.

Ani was so much fun. We had such a great day. The hike is awesome. There are some slippery rocks and hills to climb which could be difficult for some, but we loved it!! The waterfalls are stunning and we had fun swimming. Definitely recommend this excursion.

This was a fantastic experience - We booked last minute the night before. We ended up on a private tour and Ani our tour guide was awesome. Short hike to a fabulous waterfall - which we had all to ourselves until right at the end as we were getting ready to leave. Hike was fairly easy but muddy and a little scrambly at times and included crossing a river. I wore my swim suit and a short sleave cotton shirt and teva water shoes. I could have worn my beach swim shoes and probably would have preferred them. I was very worried about mosquitos - didn't see a single one! Not sure that is always the case - I did spray myself with mosquito repellent provided by Ani before the hike. Before the hike Ani took us to see a eucalyptus tree and sample strawberry guavas right of the trees. Afterwards we stopped by a beach bay on the way back where we saw several green turtles. Highly recommend this trip.

Sirena was an amazing guide, energetic and enthusiastic, she certainly made the adventure memorable and the photos and video footage she took were awesome. Glad we had water shoes with us as the trail was a little mucky and the rocks in the water were slippery. Beautiful trail walk through bamboo forest, crossing fast flowing river to reach two waterfalls where we had the opportunity to swim in the refreshing water, dive from the rocks and swing into the water from a rope swing. Absolutely amazing for us as we managed to have the top pool/waterfall to ourselves which made it extra special. Got to see the first bit of the Road to Hāna. Highly recommend this trip and Sirena as a guide, mahalo.

I found our tour guides story content & comments exceedingly inappropriate. He said he was the owner of the company but I wasn’t convinced given his unprofessional behavior. I have traveled extensively internationally and throughout the USA, participating in a multitude of tours. I took a great deal of time deciding what I would say in a public review. My opinion stands. I don’t recommend this particular company.

Our trip got canceled because of the bad weather and flooding. They gave us a call and explained all options. They were very professional and they put our safety and our hiking trip experience first. We will definitely use them next time we are back on the island.

We received the address to meet and took an Uber there. The meeting point was a bit sketchy, as it was in front of a fenced lot with a bunch of random cars in it, at the dead end of a street. There are no signs to indicate you're in the right place. I was so unsure we were where we needed to be that I texted our tour guide to confirm. She said it was correct, and to look for a brown minivan in a few minutes. We waited, and turns out she pulled out of that same parking lot to pick us up. They need to put up some kind of sign to indicate it's the right spot. This hike was harder than they say in the description. Yes, they say to wear shoes/clothes you don't mind getting wet or dirty. What they don't say is that you will be crossing the river multiple times, on slippery rocks, sometimes up to your waist in water. Almost everyone in our group (including the tour guide) ended up slipping on the rocks and falling into the river. Thankfully no one got hurt. You walk through the bamboo forest, which was cool. Our guide broke off some bamboo for each of us to use as a walking stick, and you need it. Once you reach the first waterfall, which is beautiful, you cross the river and to get to the next waterfall, you have to literally climb a wet and muddy steep cliff, literally like rock climbing, with the assistance of the rope that's hanging there. Now we've done tons of hiking, some of it hard, but we've never needed a rope to get up a cliff. This is where we decided to stop, and the group went on to the next waterfall. We had to go back the way we came, so we just stopped at the first waterfall and waited for the group to return. We then all headed back to the van. Our tour guide was really nice, and took us to see sea turtles on the way back. I have nothing negative to say about her, she did a great job. She took pictures and videos the whole time on a Go Pro, and lets you download them to your phone for free. That was awesome. If you do this excursion, be prepared and definitely wear a swim suit and bring dry shoes to change into, because you will definitely need them.

I would recommend this to anyone! Not only did we have Lauren as a tour guide, but she was the best tour guide we've ever had for any excursion anywhere. She was so knowledge and made us feel like family. The hike was incredible and the whole experience is like something from TV. Our favorite by far.
