DIT IS EEN PRIVÉTOUR, NIEMAND ZAL IN DE TOUR ZIJN NAAST UW PARTIJ Deze tour biedt een begeleide verkenning van de oude stad Efeze, een van de best bewaarde Grieks-Romeinse steden ter wereld. De tour begint met een pick-up van de haven van Kusadasi, waar u uw erkende gids ontmoet en aan boord gaat van een comfortabel voertuig met airconditioning voor de reis naar Efeze. Zodra u in Efeze aankomt, begint u aan uw wandeltocht door de oude stad, waarbij u de bibliotheek van Celsus, de tempel van Hadrianus, het Odeon en andere beroemde monumenten bezoekt. Je gids zal de fascinerende geschiedenis van de stad delen, van de Hellenistische en Romeinse periodes tot de uiteindelijke achteruitgang en verlatenheid. Ga verder naar de terrashuizen, die zich in de oude stad bevinden. Aan het einde van de tour keert u terug naar de haven van Kusadasi voor aflevering. Rijtjeshuizen, bevinden zich op de heuvel, tegenover de Hadrianustempel. Ook wel "de huizen van de rijken" genoemd, zijn ze belangrijk omdat ze ons een idee geven van het gezinsleven tijdens de Romeinse periode. Ze werden gebouwd volgens het Hippodamiaanse plan van de stad waarin wegen elkaar loodrecht kruisten.
Efeze was de op een na grootste stad in het Romeinse rijk met meer dan 250.000 inwoners in de 1e voor Christus. Het was alleen achter Rome de op één na grootste stad ter wereld. Efeze was ook een havenstad. En deze gigantische stad werd alleen met marmer gebouwd. Wist je dat Efeze het grootste amfitheater in de antieke wereld had met meer dan 25.000 zitplaatsen? Bezoek een traditioneel tapijtweverijdorp om de kunst van handgemaakte Turkse tapijten te ontdekken, lokale ambachtslieden aan het werk te zien en meer te leren over eeuwenoude weeftechnieken en natuurlijke kleurstoffen. Na afloop kunt u genieten van een heerlijke traditionele Turkse lunch bereid met verse lokale ingrediënten in een rustige dorpsomgeving, met een authentieke smaak van Turkse gastvrijheid en keuken.

Excellent experience with our guide, Adam.Not just the houses at Ephesus (which are memorable in and of themselves ),but a comprehensive overview of the site by a terrifically interesting, knowledgeable, and fun guide, as well as additional stops at a family owned pottery studio and a rug making school. Bonus - the guides at Ephesus carry plastic containers of dry cat food, which they shake. The cats obligingly appear for snacks and attention. Adam tells us the golden tiger cat named Garfield has 11,000 Instagram followers.

Honur made our experience in Kusadasi amazing! We were in a 17 day trip visiting Greece, Turkey and Italy and Honur’s personal touch, knowledge and passion made our day visiting Esephus, the Terrace Houses, local pottery and carpet Venues the highlight of our trip. We were picked up by the ship early in a clean, newer model van by a great driver. Honor showed us the best of everything! We weren’t sure about the pottery and carpet stops, however they were both educational and entertaining. Both places gave very personal experiences. We had a fabulous lunch in a scenic garden area at the pottery venue. We can’t thank Honur enough for our fabulous time!!! On top of it all, the tour was a great value!

Selin, one guide, was right there to greet us at the port. There we were whisked away in a comfortable van to the Ephesus ruins. With the tour we picked we had to pay for our tickets for the ruins/terrace houses 52 euros. Be sure to get the terrace houses portion because it is well preserved and shaded. Also go it the Ephesus video. Is was well done and had an audio in your language. Selin was there every step of the way and brought us the best way to navigate the ruins (start at the top and make your way down) From there Selin, promptly called our driver and we were whisked away to a Turkish goods store that had lots of samples. We bought dried figs and a couple varieties of Turkish delight. The store vacuum packed for easy packing for the trip home. The next stop was a leather outlet with a runway show. That was interesting but we weren’t interested. Lastly we stopped at a coop for a Turkish lunch: salad, mezes, cheese stick, chicken kabobs and meatballs. Then we had a demonstration of rug making. The show room was just our small group where we enjoyed Turkish coffee (get it sweetened because it is strong). We did bargain for a rug which included delivery to the home in California. Selin was very patient and let us stay as long or short as we wanted. What I thing was going to be 3 hours turned into 5 hours. Selin, thank you for showing us your slice of your country
