Bezoek de bibliotheek van Celsus
Bij aankomst in Efeze gaan we door de Magnesia-poort naar binnen en beginnen we aan een langzame, bergafwaartse wandeling met je gids naar de ruïnes van de voormalige Romeinse provinciehoofdstad.Je route voert je langs de tempel van Hadrianus, de fontein van Trajanus, het grote theater en de spectaculaire Celsus-bibliotheek.
Bezoek de tempel van Artemis
Volgens de christelijke traditie werd Maria na de opstanding van Christus door de apostel Johannes naar Efeze gebracht en leefde hier haar laatste dagen. Deze kerk werd opgericht op het fundament van dat huis en de authenticiteit ervan is bevestigd door paus Paulus VI en paus Johannes Paulus II. veel bezoekers beschrijven dit als een opbeurende of spirituele ervaring.
Overheidsmarkt van de stad Efeze
Gelegen aan de zuidkant van de Domitianusstraat, is het de eerste structuur in Efeze waarvan bekend is dat deze aan een keizer is gewijd. Het werd gebouwd op een hoog en breed terras van 50x100 meter, op gewelfde funderingen. De noordelijke afmeting van het terras lijkt twee verdiepingen hoog te zijn, bereikbaar via een trap. De trappen zijn nog steeds zichtbaar.
werd gebouwd in de eerste eeuw en gerestaureerd in de vierde eeuw door een rijke christelijke dame genaamd Scholastica. Links van de oostelijke ingang zie je haar beeld zonder hoofd. Men dacht dat de oorspronkelijke structuur drie verdiepingen had, maar tegen de tijd dat de bovenste twee verdiepingen instortten. De baden hebben twee ingangen, één vanaf de Curetes-straat, de hoofdingang, en de andere vanaf de zijstraat. Als je binnenkomt, zie je eerst de kleedkamer (apodyterium) met tien hutten, dan de koude kamer (frigidarium) met zijn zwembad, en dan de warme kamer (tepidarium) om te ontspannen, en ten slotte de warme kamer (caldarium) met zijn ontwikkelde verwarmingssysteem .De tweede verdieping werd gebruikt voor massage en scrubbe als therapie.

The tour was great. The ride was comfortable. The experience was wonderful. We enjoyed the carpet demonstration. Our guide and driver were fantastic.
Tour guide was excellent move that leisurely pace took us to an additional sites. That were very interesting. I highly recommend.
Yesra was phenomenal - - -such a wealth of information!! The day was absolutely perfect with all the activities included. The tour through Ephesus was absolutely amazing. The pottery stop was so informative and neat. The Turkish lunch was outstanding and such a nice way to try new food. The rug demo was incredible as well. They really did a hard sell at the end which you had to repeatedly say no. However, this was the best event we did on our 10 day vacation!!! Highly recommended.
Cetin showed us the ruins, the house of Mary, Artemis temple, and a great lunch! He explained all the history and answered all our questions. It was a great day and a great tour. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful tour of Ephesus with Yesra. She was very knowledge about all of the sites we visited and also very kind and personable. We stopped at a local shop to taste olive oil and other snacks. We did buy things but didn’t feel a great pressure to make a purchase. We also stopped at a pottery demonstration. Again, we bought something small . Lunch was at the end and was delicious. We were very happy with our tour with Yesra.

Yesra was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We went to Ephesus, the Virgin Mary's house and a couple of local shops. The provided lunch was great. I would highly recommend her.

This was the perfect tour if you only have a day in Kusadasi. Melis is the best! You get a good exposure to Turkish culture (like rug making and local food) and ancient history. She is so knowledgeable and gave us helpful tips for the rest of our stay in Kusadasi. Thank you Melis!

Met Melis on time in Kusadasi port. Her passion for her country's tradition and culture was admirable and by the end of our trip we learned a great deal about her country's history and even learned a few Turkish phrases. The tour of Ephesus and the house of the virgin Mary was brilliant and Melis explained everything in great detail and her extensive knowledge on this subject was admirable. We then had a great lunch and then we had a demonstration on rug weaving and how passionate they are on their rug weaving tradition. We will definitely return to Turkey because of Melis passion when speaking of her country's tradition and history. We would highly recommend Melis as your tour guide and when we return to Turkey again for a holiday we will specifically ask for Melis as our tour guide. Melis is a wonderful warm and friendly tour guide and did everything possible to make our tour unforgettable and her country should be proud of her for delivering a brilliant presentation on Turkey's history and traditions.
