Ophalen bij KUSADASI PORT Ontmoeting met onze Gids in Kusadasi haven met EPHESUS SHUTTLE teken. (We hebben verschillende ophaaltijden voor verschillende cruises. De ophaaltijd wordt vermeld tijdens uw bevestiging )
Na de begroeting rijden we naar Efeze Wandeling door de geschiedenis langs marmeren straten met prachtige openbare gebouwen, waaronder de baden van Scholastica, de bibliotheek van Celsus; het werd gebouwd in het begin van de 2e eeuw na Christus door Gaius Julius Aquila om een gedenkteken te zijn voor zijn vader Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, de proconsul van de provincie Azië. , de tempel van Hadrianus en het grote theater zijn twee van de meest indrukwekkende gebouwen in Efeze. Grand Theatre werd gebouwd in de 3e eeuw voor Christus en werd later uitgebreid tot 24.000 toeschouwers door de Romeinen in de 1e eeuw na Christus.
Visit Terrace Houses ligt aan de rand van de Pion-berg. Er zijn 6 wooneenheden die zijn gebouwd op drie kunstmatige terrassen. Deze huizen werden bewoond door rijke burgers van Efeze. Deze huizen waren zeer chique gedecoreerd met muurfresco's en vloermozaïeken. Er zijn veel stappen om van beneden naar boven te stijgen. Niet aanbevolen voor mensen met loopproblemen en acrofobie (hoogtevrees).
We stoppen bij de Artemission-tempel waar ooit een van de zeven wereldwonderen was als onze laatste stop voordat we terugrijden naar het centrum en de haven van Kusadasi. Het einde van onze services.

Olgu was a great guide! Picked up at the pier from a cruise ship with them waiting for us with a sign in hand as promised and the Ephesus tour was great as well as seeing some interesting shops in the area.

Our guide was Mehmet Orkun, the best one. Very helpful and kind. He speskd very good english and he is always smiling. The tour was more pelasant because of him.

This tour was excellent. We were lucky that our small group tour ended up being a private tour for the two of us. Our guide, Emre, was outstanding. He gave us great information while touring Ephesus. He was a trained archaeologist and was excited that we were interested in history and was able to answer all of our questions and add additional information. We also appreciated that he handled the religious history in the context of archeology. We would also recommend adding the optional visit to the Terrace Houses while at Ephesus. He also gave us the option of visiting a family that makes Anatolian pottery (one of only 5 still doing this) and it was amazing to see and learn how the pottery is made.
