House of Virgin Mary is de plek waar Mary haar laatste dagen heeft doorgebracht. Inderdaad, ze kan in het gebied zijn gekomen samen met Saint John. Apostel Paulus bracht waarschijnlijk twee en een half jaar door in Efeze tijdens zijn derde zendingsreis. Onze tour omvat Odeon, State Agora, Prytaneion, Memmius Monument, Domatian Temple, Hercules Gate, Curetes Street, Hadrian Temple, Latriens, Celsus Library, Marble Road, Commercial Agora, Great Theather en Arcadine (Harbour Road).
Oude luxe residentiële villa's, gebouwd volgens het Hippodamiaanse plan waar de wegen elkaar dwars doorsnijden. Huizen hebben tekeningen met gladiatoren, karikaturen en dieren en grafiti van namen van personen, gedichten en liefdesverklaringen. De bezoeken aan Private House (zogenaamd bordeel, 'Terrace Houses') zijn een optioneel bezoek voor een extra 25 ₺ / persoon en uw gids moet vooraf worden geïnformeerd.
Na het middageten; we zullen doorgaan met het bezoek aan de tempel van Artemis; dat is een van de zeven wonderen van de oudheid. Hier is er een goede kans om foto's van de kerk van St. John en de moskee van Isa Bey ook vanuit de beste invalshoek te schieten.
Een oud dorp op de heuvels van Selcuk, beroemd om de productie van wijnen met fruitsmaak en traditionele huizen. Het werd ooit bewoond door 'Rum' (Byzantijnse Grieken) die werden uitgewisseld met de Turken van het Griekse vasteland na het vredesverdrag na de Turkse Nationale Oorlog.

We had a great day trip to Ephesus with Huray as our guide. She was so lovely and made the history really interesting with her detailed but easy-to-follow explanations. We also liked that she showed us some local businesses along the way, which gave us a better feel for the area and its culture. The whole tour was well organised, and Huray was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions. We’d definitely recommend this tour!

1. This is not a private tour as advertised, but a small group tour 2. It states you can organise to go to terrace houses at Ephesus, but this was not actually possible 3. The tour of Ephesus archaeological park is rushed because you get to spend a lot of time with over-priced rug, oil, sweet sellers
