Wij zijn een boutique incoming agency en onze passie is het verzorgen van elk detail. Ons voorstel neemt je mee naar een trekkingpad dat Laguna Esmeralda bereikt. Vanaf het hotel gaan we met comfortabel vervoer naar het begin van de route. Van daaruit nemen we het pad dat het bos in de Tierra Mayor-vallei binnengaat. We zullen verschillende veenmoerassen en rotsachtig terrein doorkruisen. We vervolgen onze wandeling langs de rivier de Esmeralda totdat we de onbeschrijfelijke Laguna Esmeralda bereiken, een klein meer van gletsjeroorsprong, dat zijn naam dankt aan de kleur die het krijgt door de sedimenten die afkomstig zijn van de Ojo del Albino-gletsjer. Deze kleur is alleen in de zomer te zien, omdat deze in de winter bevroren en bedekt is met sneeuw. Terwijl we genieten van het uitzicht op de lagune, laden we onze batterijen op door een lunchpakket te eten. We kunnen nu aan de terugkeer beginnen, waar het pad ons bekend zal zijn en we de laatste kans zullen hebben om de schoonheden die ons omringen te waarderen. Belangrijk: neem een fles water mee

We vertrekken vanuit de stad Ushuaia, beter bekend als de stad aan het einde van de wereld.
Tijdens de rit met de vrachtwagen naar het begin van het pad zullen we prachtige landschappen van de Fuegiaanse Valleien observeren.
De lagune heeft een unieke kleur. Na anderhalf of twee uur lopen komen we aan bij de lagune waar we tijd hebben om onze lunchpakket te nuttigen. We blijven ongeveer een uur en keren terug langs het pad dat ons er naartoe bracht.
We keren terug naar de stad aan het einde van de wereld, Ushuaia, nadat we de beroemde Emerald Lagoon hebben bezocht.

On our day of trekking it rained most of the time. It was still a great experience and our guide Mica made sure the path we travel was the safest / easiest. Given the conditions our pace was slower than normal. We walk for approximately 2.5 hours in and then out. The scenery was beautiful. I think the rain made some of the colors more vibrant.

We like to give four stars, especially to Mauro, our guide. He had the difficult task of piloting a very diverse group to the lake and back. The route is beautiful, that's for sure. The pace was particularly slow with us. It shouldn't be a race and being on the road is part of the adventure, but here it sometimes caused frustrations. More than 2.5 hours for 5 kilometers we are just a little too slow.

The stand‑out excursion of our entire South America trip. Our small‑group trek ended up being just the two of us plus one other guest, guided by Manu. Manu judged the pace perfectly — enough to keep us moving but with time for photos and to take in the scenery. He was informative, thoughtful and even chose a quieter alternative route back from the lagoon so we could enjoy different views away from the crowds. The landscape was absolutely breathtaking and this really is a must‑do experience. The packed lunch was hand‑made, generous and clearly prepared with care, and we appreciated the hot drink at the lake. Walking poles were provided too, which some people will find helpful. Pick‑up and drop‑off were smooth and straightforward - the driver was Marcio. They’re very clear before booking that proper hiking footwear and clothing are essential — and it’s easy to see why. Walking shoes were fine for us, but trainers would have been a mistake. An unforgettable day and one we’d recommend wholeheartedly.

We did the activity in mid-December and it was raining the entire day. Yet, the trail was nice and the lagoon color and view was worth taking the walk in the rain and mud.

Well organised, relatively easy hike with beautiful views. You will walk through mud, so hiking boots are a must. A hiking pole is helpful on the way down, but if you are an experienced hiker with good balance, you probably won't need it on the way up.
