Als je van groen houdt, is Ella natuurlijk een plek om te bezoeken. Ella Rock is een van de plaatsen die het bewijst. Trekkers zouden de plaats geweldig vinden. Het is een beetje vermoeiend om te wandelen. Maar het is zeker de moeite waard. Als je eenmaal op de top bent, zul je je realiseren waarom we dat hebben gezegd. De panoramische uitzichten die het biedt met mist en wolken die het gebied bedekken, vooral in de vroege ochtenden en de late avonden zijn iets waar je getuige van moet zijn en dat voldoende zou zijn om te zeggen dat je Ella hebt bezocht. De totale tijd om op en neer te klimmen is 4 uur. Ja, klinkt als een lange reis. Maar de weg daarheen is vol diversiteit. Als je vanaf het treinstation van Ella begint, zou je genieten van de treinwandeling en zodra je begint te klimmen, passeer je een waterval, het rubberboombos en theeplantages. Op een regenachtige dag kan het glad zijn, dus wees voorzichtig met wat je draagt voor de reis. Draag iets geschikt voor een wandeling en tegen het einde van de wandeling, nog steeds beheersbaar.

We were picked up around 4:00, and off we went to the hike point. The guide was so friendly and full of knowledge. He told us all sorts of things as we climbed up. Along the way, some dogs that the guide knew came along and made our journey even more fun. We were among the first to reach the top, so we got the best spots. The sunrise was absolutely magical. After we finished, the guide even showed us a beautiful spot where he happily took pictures. It was stunning. Just so you know, you can do the trek in a loop, but without a guide, you’d definitely miss out on some amazing things. Thanks for such a wonderful experience.

The hike started at 4 am and there we immediately noticed that we were dealing with a very good fun social guide! He was in a good mood and so we started our hike. The hike was ultimately so very worthwhile, the view was breathtaking and would definitely recommend this. He also told us about the area and gave us good tips. All in all it was a fantastic experience.

We booked the Sunrise Tour ($30 per person) and it was worth every dollar. Watching the sun rise over Ella Rock was breathtaking. Our guide was friendly, helpful, and knew the best photo spots.

I had a great hike and was so happy to have had a guide based on the reviews and route (you can certainly do the hike without a guide, but a solo female traveler, I wanted the safety). The hike was beautiful and my guide pointed out different plants and animals (we saw several chameleons). I needed to take it slow once we hit the incline, and he was very flexible and patient, allowing me to take whatever breaks I needed. He also took great pictures!
