Efeze was de tweede grootste stad in het Romeinse Rijk met meer dan 250.000 inwoners in de 1e voor Christus. Alleen op Rome na was het de tweede grootste stad ter wereld. Efeze was ook een havenstad. En deze gigantische stad werd alleen met marmer gebouwd. Tempel van Artemis of Artemision, ook wel bekend als de Tempel van Diana, was een Griekse tempel gewijd aan de godin Artemis. Het bevond zich in Efeze en was een van de zeven wereldwonderen. Het Huis van de Maagd Maria is een plaats waar volgens de overtuigingen van veel mensen Maria, de moeder van Jezus, haar laatste jaren van haar leven doorbracht. De Isabey-moskee, gebouwd in 1374 – 1375, is een van de oudste en meest indrukwekkende architectonische kunstwerken die zijn overgebleven van de Anatolische Beyliks. We booked a trip to Ephesus for the day as we were staying in Kusadasi and it was brilliant. The trip also included the house of Virgin Mary and temple of Artemis. We also got to visit a Turkish Delight factory and a traditional Turkish pottery. The whole day was brilliant from beginning to end and well worth the money. We had an English tour guide, Ceyda, who was great and very knowledgeable and told us all about the sites as we walked around. We were collected from our hotel by the bus and dropped off at the end of the day. I recommend booking if you are looking to visit Ephesus as it was a great day

Our tour guide Yesra was fantastic. Not only was she welcoming snd kind but so knowledgeable. Yesra made the history and people come alive with her descriptions of life in Ephesus. She kept us going so we saw most of he city and gave us a bit of free time to explore and take photos. This was a very professional tour and we learned a lot. The group was small as we went in a mini bus and this afforded an excellent tour.

2 october me and my wife lily booked a private tour from this company via tripadvisor. I al so glad with the tour. The operator mr serkan took care and organizate everything that we requared. The drlver and the guide did their job perfectly.our guide erdem was very knowladgeable and funny. He let us live the ancient times. In ephesus he showed us all ruins. I travel a lot via tripadvisor but this was so far the best service i ever had...

Was a lovely excursion. In the morning they picked us up on time. With a clean bus. Our guide was erdem (Dutch speaking guide) very informative that he was and always is with a big smile. Ephesus was very special and well protected. It was worth it.
