We ontmoeten elkaar op een van de meest centrale plekken in Athene en beginnen onze eetervaring door de meest lokale favoriete plek voor taarten te bezoeken! Smaak kaastaart met authentieke Griekse fetakaas, spinazietaart en meer!
We bereiken de centrale voedselmarkten van Athene, het levendigste deel van Athene, lopen tussen klanten en winkeleigenaren in en ervaren de geweldige sfeer! Rond dat gebied zullen we verschillende authentieke Griekse smaken proeven, zoals wij, kaas, vleeswaren, Griekse koffie, lukumades (ook bekend als de Griekse donut) en meer! Natuurlijk zou een bezoek aan het marktgebied niet compleet zijn zonder olijven en noten rechtstreeks van de markt te proeven!
In deze mooie en alternatieve Atheense wijk, met veel verhalen te vertellen, bezoeken we een van de oudste bakkerijen in de stad en proeven we de favoriete Griekse snack!
Het zou geen Athene-eetervaring zijn zonder verschillende soorten honing, traditionele drankjes en natuurlijk de extra vergine olijfolie te proeven! Leer wat olijfolie extra vierge maakt en hoe u de hoge kwaliteit kunt herkennen! Bezoek later een populair restaurant en probeer het beroemdste straatvoedsel in Griekenland, suvlaki!

Sometimes a food tour leaves you a little hungry…..NOT THIS ONE!!! Wow, my wife and I were stuffed. Agathi took us on a tour of all the local hot spots in Athens and this did not disappoint! For the value, you can’t beat this tour. Agathi was so knowledgeable of the culture of the surrounding area. The length of the tour was perfect and covered so many traditional food types. Gyros, dolmas, Loukoumades, koulouri. All of it was fantastic. We lucked out and our tour was just my wife and I so, that was obviously perfect!!! If you are looking for a great food tour, great value, and a great tour guide, choose this one. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Agathi!

We were lucky to get this tour to ourselves on our honeymoon trip. Our guide Agatha was lovely. She made the experience something special. We stopped at 6 places and ultimately took some of our gyros home because there was so much food! We had a very nice walk around parts of the city we hadn't seen yet and learned a lot along the way.

Authentic Taste of Athens! This 3.5‑hour food tour was a highlight of my time in Athens. We explored the real neighborhoods and markets where locals shop, and the variety of tastings was fantastic — from sweets and savory bites to cheeses, cured meats, olive oil, and even a little wine and beer. It all wrapped up perfectly with a traditional gyros. Our guide, Agatha, was excellent. She was knowledgeable, spoke perfect English, and made the entire experience easy, engaging, and fun. If you’re looking for something that feels genuinely local and authentic rather than touristy, this tour is a great choice.

Agatha was our guide for the day. We were fortunate because due to the transportation strike the next day, all the other people had canceled and we had Agatha to ourselves. We stopped at about 7 places for food or tastings, so plenty to eat and a good variety. Of all the food tours we have been on, Agatha was the first person who, if the type of food allowed for it, asked if we wanted to wrap up and take what we weren’t able to eat. So by the end of the day we had a small bag of about 3 or 4 leftovers. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning with Agatha, who was a delight to be with. Between the variety of food and our wonderful guide, I would definitely recommend this food tour.

Agatha was a fantastic guide of local Athenian cuisine. We started with local Greek coffee & pastries, and ended with gyros & local beer. Very enjoyable chatting with her about how the city has changed around food!

Guide was friendly and inclusive. She showed us all around the different parts of the city and gave us insight to the different foods we were eating. Easy pace and wide variety of foods for different occasions. And there was alcohol to try! Best experience for adventurous eaters!

We had a lovely (and delicious) time walking around and tasting the delights of Athens with Agatha, our tour guide. She was so kind and a pleasure to chat with. She was extremely knowledgeable not only about cuisine, but also about the area and its history. She even gave us some great recommendations for our travel to Crete! This tour is a great way to ensure you get a taste of Athens local favorites.
