Bezoek eerst het Nationaal Museum van Ethiopië, dat enkele van de beste en meest uiteenlopende tentoonstellingen bevat. Tot de archeologische tentoonstellingen behoort ook Lucy (Dinkinesh, 'mooi' in de lokale taal), een 3,5 miljoen jaar oude mensachtige vrouw uit de Australopithecus Afarensis. In 1974 onthulde Lucy's fossiel dat onze voorouders 2,5 miljoen jaar eerder liepen dan gedacht, waardoor onze genealogie werd herschreven. Het Nationaal Museum beschikt over verschillende prachtige pre-Axumitische artefacten. Bezoek vervolgens de St. George's Cathedral. In de buurt van het noordelijke uiteinde van Churchill Road. De kathedraal, gebouwd in 1896 in de gebruikelijke achthoekige vorm ter ere van de overwinning van Ethiopië op de Italianen in de Slag om Adwa, heeft de glas-in-loodramen van Afewerk Tekle uit de Afrikazaal. Rijd naar Entoto om de Shiromeda-markt te verkennen, een van de belangrijkste Ethiopische traditionele kledingmarkten. Rijd verder naar de top om het adembenemende uitzicht op de stad Mount Entoto te zien. Laatste stop. Stop bij Tomoka Coffee! Uitstekende stadskoffie. Tour eindigt

St. George's Cathedral is een iconische kerk in Addis Abeba, Ethiopië. De kathedraal staat bekend om zijn prachtige neo-Byzantijnse architectuur en majestueuze koepel en is een belangrijk herkenningspunt in de stad. Het is van groot belang in het Ethiopisch-orthodoxe christendom en is een populaire plaats voor zowel aanbidding als bezoekers. De kathedraal is gewijd aan St. George, die wordt beschouwd als de patroonheilige van Ethiopië.
Na de lunch rijd je naar Merkato, de grootste openluchtmarkt van het continent die je zult verkennen door met je gids op de markt te wandelen.
bezoek de Shiromeda-markt, een van de grootste markten voor traditionele Ethiopische kleding, rijd verder naar de berg om het indrukwekkende panoramische uitkijkpunt mt Entoto te bezoeken, met een verbluffend uitzicht over de stad.

The experience was amazing!! The insight provided by Olinol was fantastic!!… there were no additional hidden admission fees and he made sure to adjust his style based off of my preferences. We travelled around Addis Ababa for nearly the entire day, but he also went above and beyond to provide me with customized places for my entire 4-day trip… I highly recommend 💯💯💯

I had an amazing time on my Addis Ababa tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our tour guide, Abe, and our driver, Abreham. From the very beginning Abe was friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about his city. His knowledge of Addis Ababa’s history, culture, and daily life was impressive, and he explained everything in a clear, engaging way that made each stop even more meaningful. Abreham was an excellent driver and made the whole day feel safe, smooth, and well organised. Navigating the busy streets of Addis is no small task, but he did it with calm confidence and a great attitude. He was always punctual, helpful, and welcoming, which really added to the overall experience. Abe went out of his way to make sure everyone felt comfortable and included. He was always happy to answer questions, share local insights, and adapt the tour to our interests. Whether we were visiting historical sites, exploring neighbourhoods, or trying local food, he made the experience feel authentic and personal rather than rushed or scripted. What really stood out was Abe’s enthusiasm and pride in Ethiopia, supported perfectly by Abreham’s professionalism and care. I left feeling like I had not only seen Addis Ababa, but actually understood it better. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city, and especially recommend asking for Abe and Abreham. They truly made the experience unforgettable.

We had a stop over in Addis Abeba with Ethiopian airlines, with hotel paid by the company. We took the chance to have an afternoon tour + dinner with Liyu. It was a wonderful choice. The guides picked us at the hotel and were able to bring us to multiple interesting points in Addis Abeba (Museum, Church, viewpoint and market). They also provided great explanation and were always available for discussing with us about Ethiopian traditions. We ended the tour by going to a really nice topical Ethiopian restaurant, in which there was a live show with a band and dancers. Really awesome. They finally brought us back to the hotel, and during all the tour they were always ready to meet our need. Super recommend!
