Als u met de veerboot gaat, begint uw reis naar de Meis (Kastelorizo)-eilanden aan boord en kunt u te voet rond het eiland gaan. Bezienswaardigheden: Museummoskee, Het Kasteel van de Ridders van St. Jean, Lycische Graftombe, Museum van Archeologie, Blauwe Grot, St.Constantijn en de Kerk van Elena, St.George – St.Haralampos Catacombes

Ontdek de schoonheid van de Griekse eilanden met een dagtocht naar Meis (Kastelorizo). Spring gewoon op onze veerdienst vanuit Kas voor een onvergetelijk dagje uit en ontdek de geschiedenis en het erfgoed van deze unieke bestemming. Meis (Kastelorizo), gelegen voor de kust van de Dodekanesos van Griekenland, heeft een fantastisch aanbod aan attracties.
Geniet van belastingvrij winkelen, musea, kastelen, uitstekende restaurants, Aya Georgio Beach (link naar het strand per boot) en Blue Cave (link naar het strand per speedboot), terwijl je je een weg baant over het eiland. Breng een ontspannen dag door met het bekijken van de bezienswaardigheden en geniet van de trage manier van leven voordat u terugkeert naar het schip, waar u zelfs echte (link naar belastingvrije) belastingvrije kortingen vindt op al uw favoriete merken wijn, bier en sterke drank , schoonheidsproducten, geuren, gadgets en geschenken. Je hebt tot 5 uur aan wal om te ontspannen en tot rust te komen. De afvaarten vertrekken elke dag en verlaten Kas tussen 08:45 uur en 09:00 uur en arriveren rond 09:20 uur in de haven van Meis ( Kastellorizo ). De vijf uur durende retour vertrekt in de vroege avond om 16:00 uur, zodat u tot vijf uur aan wal kunt proeven.

This “day trip” was actually just an overpriced ferry ticket. I paid $68 through trip advisor while my friend paid under $35 for the same ferry. The island quaint and was worth a visit, but buy your ticket directly from the ferry company! Also, make sure you are off the ferry first when you arrive to avoid an hour+ line at immigration.
A gorgeous island but…… be prepared to spend at least 2 hours queuing at passport control on the island… it seemed organised chaos and spoilt the day. Plus lots of hidden taxes to pay on top of the price of the ferry ticket…. However, that aside it is beautiful.

Unfortunately, the passport control process is managed by the government border authorities, not by our company, and all travellers on the island were experiencing the same delays — not only our group. We completely understand how frustrating this can be, especially when it reduces the time available to enjoy such a beautiful destination. Regarding the additional fees, these are local government/port taxes and border-related charges, which are separate from the ferry ticket price. While this was a great trip for my friends and I, we were a bit shocked at all the hidden taxes we were charged at the dock in addition to our ticket. So if you intend to go, be aware that there's the ticket price and then two additional taxes - tough on Aussies because they're in euro. However, the island offered plenty to see and do in your day stop over. There's the blue cave (additional cost), the museum (additional cost) or lots of hiking and walking. The St Georgios Monastery is worth the hike and offers breathtaking views of the pristine blue water and island. The houses offer a colourful backdrop too.

We had a very enjoyable day. At 9:30 a.m., the ferry departing from Kash arrived on the island of Meis with the name of Bizdin. We had a meal and a drink and we walked around and returned to Kash at 4 p.m. We saw a caretta turtle, ate ☺️ in the bowl, got magnets. We saw the ethnographic mosque, the former Ottoman mosque, its church, and the blue yellow hotel, said to have filmed Mediterraneo. Located in memories.
We did a day trip to this island. It’s wonderful, so pretty and the nicest of people. I wish I could have stayed the night. Great restaurants and coffee shops. Everyone was super friendly and hospitable. The only downside was the queue both ways from the ferry through Turkish and Greek passport control. It can take an hour. My tip - stand at the back of the ferry early to get off fast.
