Een dag in Nuwara Eliya: bezienswaardigheden en lokale lekkernijen

Amazing experience!! We visited the local tea plantations with a nice hike and could experience the real local life. Loved every second. Gihan is super friendly and provides a lot of information.

My sister and I traveled to Little Britain, participated in the jungle walking activities, where the air is clean and the trees are lush, and the guide also introduced the small animals and birds they encountered on the road, which are very suitable for people in the city to get in touch with nature, understand nature, and to a certain extent help to release stress.

This is a hike you must try. From start to end it was a very interesting hike.we had so much fun and learn lot about nuwaraeliya

Please don't book with him! He never showed up. I met him at the train station and promised me the most beautiful walks. But didn't show up! So save yourself a disappointment!

Gihan started talking to us at the station. He was honestly from the first moment. It was meant to be.. As we want to do a hike in the beautiful landscape (tea plantation), but didn't know where to start. Gihan asked us if we want to join him with a surprise hike. We went with a bunch of young people from the same hostel. It was a nice mix of farmers, houses, plantation, hills, viewing points and Information of flora and fauna. Best hike in Sri Lanka!! Really recommended!!!!

We experienced some fantastic trips with Gihan in April 2019. Especially the hike on the highest mountain in Sri Lanka, through the tea plantations to the station, far away from all other tourists was unique. Our kids aged 14, 11 and 8 also loved it. Gihan also has a great eye for the interest of kids and explains everything to them. It was also nice to pick your own tea. Moreover, Gihan also helped us fantastically when we decided to fly home early a week after the attacks. He personally picked us up together with his cousin and drove us from Ella to Colombo through beautiful national parks where we also saw Elephants. You can't have a better guide, we will never forget him.

We did a one-day tour with Gihan a few years ago when we went to Nuwara Eliya. Gihan is a really knowledgeable and friendly guide, with lots of interesting information both about the area as well as Sri Lankan history. I still remember it as a great day, and a highlight of our time in the region. Gihan has just got a Trip Advisor page and reached out for a review - it's testament to how enjoyable his tour was that I'm writing this review three years later! (Trip Advisor won't let me select a travel date before Nov 2018, but we actually did our trip in 2016.)
