Deze tour is georganiseerd om reizigers een lokale ervaring te bieden die hen verbindt met de Ghanese cultuur en mensen. Het leert reizigers ook over het leven van belangrijke mensen zoals Dr. Kwame Nkrumah en WEB Dubois en geeft reizigers ook een idee van enkele van de oudste steden van Accra. Reizigers krijgen ook de kans om enkele Ghanese lokale gerechten te proberen, interactie te hebben met sommige lokale bewoners, hun leven te observeren en lokale gewoonten uit te proberen, zoals het eten van wat straatvoedsel.

Dr. William Edward Burgardt wordt beschouwd als de vader van het panafrikanisme. Hij werd door de eerste president van Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, uitgenodigd om naar Ghana te komen om een encyclopedie over de Afrikaanse geschiedenis te redigeren en kreeg een huis om met zijn vrouw te wonen tot hij overleed. Zijn huis is nu een museum dat bekend staat als het W.E.B Du Bois Centre. Het centrum heeft de persoonlijke bezittingen van Dr. Du Bois, ereprijzen en talrijke publicaties in zijn bibliotheek tentoongesteld. Zijn tombe en het gecremeerde lichaam van de vrouw zijn ook in het centrum te vinden.
In 1961, tijdens het bezoek van koningin Elisabeth II en prins Charles aan Ghana, werd het zwarte sterrenplein, ook wel bekend als het onafhankelijkheidsplein, gebouwd in opdracht van de eerste president van Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Op het plein kregen de gasten de onafhankelijkheidsboog, de zwarte sterrenpoort en het Bevrijdingsmonument te zien. Het terrein is een zeer grote open ruimte, begrensd door tribunes, die plaats biedt aan ongeveer 30.000 mensen. Het werd gebouwd om de onafhankelijkheid van Ghana te herdenken als symbool van zelfredzaamheid en een plaats van nationale eenheid. De ruimte wordt gebruikt voor het organiseren van andere nationale, religieuze en commerciële evenementen, zoals politieke bijeenkomsten en entertainmentconcerten.
De Arts and Craft Market is een gemeenschap van kraampjes waar ambachten en souvenirs geïnspireerd door de Ghanese cultuur, zoals kente-doeken, kralen, houtsnijwerk en vele andere accessoires, te koop worden tentoongesteld. Gasten krijgen de mogelijkheid om van kraam naar kraam te gaan om wat aandenken te waarderen en te kopen als herinnering aan hun bezoek aan Ghana. Verkopers staan ook altijd ten dienste van de gasten en zijn bereid om gasten te overtuigen hun waren te overwegen, aangezien er op dezelfde locatie ook soortgelijke artikelen verkrijgbaar zijn bij verschillende verkopers.
Gasten kunnen een bezoek brengen aan het Kwame Nkrumah Museum/Memorial park. Het is de laatste rustplaats van de eerste president van Ghana, die Gold Coast bevrijdde van de koloniale overheersing. Het museum herbergt de persoonlijke bezittingen en publicaties van Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in verschillende stadia van zijn leven, van kindertijd tot zijn politieke leven tot aan zijn omverwerping en dood. Er zijn enkele foto's en video's die zijn levensgeschiedenis tonen met enkele beroemde persoonlijkheden over de hele wereld. Het uitgangspunt was waar Kwame Nkrumah stond om Ghana onafhankelijk te verklaren.

This was a good tour experience overall. My guide was Suwaibah. She coordinated my airport pickup, and accompanied me throughout the tour. Each stop was a good experience. The driver did a good job too. Only minor criticism is that Suwaibah was very soft spoken, which made it difficult to hear her at times. They dropped me off at my hotel afterwards, as promised.

I booked this tour after my visit to the Coast. The locals were very hospitable. I enjoyed Ghana Jollof better. Ghana is a beautiful country, has good food and nice People. I love how the artifacts were displayed at the Ghana national museum.

I did two tours with Pro Tour Africa and the Accra tour was included. This tour was focused on the political history of Ghana which is an interest of mine. My favourite site was the Kwame Nkrumah Museum. I had a great time in Ghana and this tour was a great way to conclude my stay in Ghana. I look forward to my next trip to Ghana.

This was a great tour with my Ghanaian family. We had a great tour and I was able to build up on the knowledge about the history of Ghana while visiting the Kwame Nkrumah Museum and the Independence Square. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Ghana and its people.

This was a great tour in Accra. We visited Dubois center, Black star square, Kwame Nkrumah mausoleum and the arts center. I got to buy a lot to Ghanian prints, beaded and slippers for my family and friends back home. Rashida really did well bargaining to get me the best prices for the things I got. We got some Banku and Tilapia at Chop shop in Osu when we were done. Overall it was a great day and Pro Tour Africa made it worth my time. Thank you for the great tour guys. :)
