Edinburgh is een van de mooiste steden van Europa geworden. We zullen de geschiedenis van deze middeleeuwse stad kennen, met meer dan 3000 jaar, van de eerste stammen die het bevolkten, de Picten, tot de mannen in rokken. We zullen het hebben over de belangrijkste gebouwen, zoals de St. Giles Cathedral of Edinburgh Castle. We lopen door de meest karakteristieke straten, zoals de Royal Mile of Victoria Street. We zullen het beeldhouwwerk van de puppy Bobby bezoeken, dat naast de Greyfriars-begraafplaats ligt, waar veel mysteries en legendes verborgen zijn, en wat paranormale activiteit. Een deel van het Harry Potter-boek is geschreven in Edinburgh en de schrijver, JK Rowling, gebruikte het inspiratiekerkhof. This is a great way to know some of the history of Edinburgh.
Just finished our Old Town tour with Ignas and had a great time. Guide was very knowledgeable and told many interesting facts in an entertaining way that you would miss walking there unguided. The Scotish accent and kilt of the guide added a lot of charm to the tour but may be a bit challenging to unterstand the accent for people who are less proficient with the English language. Length of the tour was really nice, not too long and not too short.
