Berchtesgaden heeft zoveel historische waarde met betrekking tot de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Tijdens het Derde Rijk was de Obersalzberg het zuidelijke hoofdkwartier van de Nationaal-Socialistische Partij met veel topleiders die hier huizen bezaten, en veel belangrijke politieke beslissingen werden hier genomen. Deze privétour is perfect voor diegenen die deze geschiedenis willen ontdekken... Deze tour van een halve dag beslaat het beroemde Adelaarsnest en veel van de andere historisch belangrijke locaties op de Obersalzberg, inclusief de meer verborgen locaties waar de meeste toeristen nooit van horen. Hoewel er veel touropties zijn die dit gebied omvatten, zullen de meeste alleen stoppen op de meest bekende plekken. Deze tour bevat ook de geheimen die op de berg verborgen zijn en die echt een authentiek verslag geven van de fascinerende geschiedenis van dit gebied. Bovendien is het berglandschap buitengewoon mooi en op een heldere dag wordt u omringd door een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht op de Beierse Alpen en de vallei beneden, vooral vanaf het Adelaarsnest.

De mogelijkheid om een origineel deel van het enorme ondergrondse bunkercomplex te bezoeken, diep begraven onder het voormalige terrein; verken het kronkelende labyrint van kronkelende tunnels en spelonkachtige kamers.
Het hoogtepunt van deze tour is een bezoek aan het beroemde Adelaarsnest op de Kehlstein-berg op 6, 017ft. Ontdek de fascinerende geschiedenis van Hitlers theehuis inclusief de originele kenmerken, zoals de enorme marmeren open haard en de beroemde koperen lift. LET OP: Het Adelaarsnest is alleen geopend half mei - oktober, afhankelijk van het weer. Als u november - half mei bezoekt: Hoewel je het Eagle's Nest gebouw zelf niet kunt bezoeken, is een diepgaand historisch verslag van het Eagle's Nest, om de historische betekenis van het gebouw uit te leggen, opgenomen in deze tour. Daarnaast is er een uitgebreide rijtour door Berchtesgaden om onderweg te stoppen bij andere historische plekken uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
De tour omvat een rondrit door de berghelling van Obersalzberg met overal gedetailleerd historisch commentaar, waarbij de meest historisch belangrijke locaties worden aangegeven, waaronder: - het terrein van het voormalige huis van Hermann Göring, - het voormalige woonhuis en atelier van Albert Speer, - het voormalige RSD-hoofdkantoor, - de voormalige SS-officierswoningen. Plus een bezoek te voet door het bos aan de minder bekende ruïnes van Hitler's Berghof-huis, inclusief de mogelijkheid om het panoramische uitzicht te ervaren dat ooit vanuit zijn eigen huis werd geboden.

We had a great guide, Amy Lewis, who had to contend with taking us round in bad weather. It was interesting to find out what had been going on there in 1930's which most of the rest of the world knew nothing about at the time. She was able to show photos from the time which helped envisage some if it which was destroyed at the end of WW2

Tom is an incredible guide! He’s been in the area for 20+ years specifically because of his interest in WWII history, so he knows absolutely everything about the area and sites. Like thousands of period photos and all sorts of very specific details of everything that happened in the area. You literally could not find a better guide for the area

Sharon met as exactly where and when expected. She gave us excellent background stories and insider views of the areas surrounding the Eagle's Nest. Instead of wasting time in lines she took us to see several spots including the backup generator system and where the terrace of Hitler's house stood. We also had free time to explore the areas around the Eagle's nest. The visit to the Museum also held some interesting sidelights that she advised us to see (machine gunner's nest). All tolled, it was an EXCELLENT visit that would not have been possible without her assistance.
