E-bike Vipava River Tour

Rijdend op een e-bike comfortabel langs de prachtige Vipava-rivier en vasthouden aan de minder bereisde wegen, ontdek je de rijke geschiedenis en het levendige landschap van deze verbazingwekkende wijnstreek. Proeven van het beste ijs in "Klein Venetië", op zoek naar de verloren kanonskogel van Napoleon en het ontrafelen van het mysterie van koning Theodosis - er valt veel te beleven op de E-bike-tour van The River Trail! We bezoeken middeleeuwse overblijfselen van het Romeinse fort en vervolgen onze tocht langs de rivier. Onze eerste stop is in het charmante stadje Vipava, ook wel "Klein Venetië" genoemd. Het is een perfecte tijd voor ijs, de beste in de vallei. Over de brug van Napoleon begint onze jacht op zijn vermiste kanonskogel. Het mysterie zal zich ontvouwen bij het bereiken van het middeleeuwse bolwerk van Vipavski Križ, waar we stoppen voor een kopje koffie en een ontspannen wandeling door kleine straatjes. Nog een stukje fietsen en we zijn aan het einde van deze tour genieten van een prachtig panorama over de vallei en het traditionele Sloveense dessert "štruklji".

Wat een plek! Het middeleeuwse stadje Vipavski Križ zal u betoveren en we zullen ook stoppen voor een kop koffie!
Het is tijd om het beroemde lokale gerecht "Štruklji" te proeven en deze E-bike-tour in stijl af te sluiten!
We zullen de beste Icecream in de buurt proeven en een wandeling maken door de oude stad Vipava.

We wanted to take a bike tour and saw Rockvelo online. We were warmly received despite arriving unannounced. Everything was arranged and we could make a super nice bike ride! The bikes were super nice and the route was fantastic! Upon returning we got grapes and we could sit quietly. Top experience!

Four viking ladies from Norway were seeking adventure on a cloudy day, we found Rockvelo el-bikes and the coolest guide Timothey. Through pictures valleys and fertile vineyards we rode the Vipava-Tour solid as a rock. Strong legs, laughter, speed and a cappuccino on the top! To finish off we had some unique local wine, it made our pallets sing a way. Four happy women reports; What a lovely lovely day!

Although initially a little hard to find once we were there Alex ( the owner) welcomed us really nicely. I gave him a WhatsApp the night before ( after office hours) and he replied and sorted everything. Set up was easy and the bikes are great. The route was easy to follow and stunning. Only word of caution is we did 2.5 hours and it felt enough. Was glad to get back and get in some air con!

My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic eBike tour of the Vipava Valley with Alex as our guide. Alex was great at keeping in touch, tailored the route to suit our requirements, and helped my wife overcome her initial lack of confidence (by the end she was powering off into the distance!). We found Alex to be thoroughly engaging, with a great sense of humour. He is a fount of knowledge about the area and Slovenian culture. Despite being a very experienced cyclist he was very happy to go at a pace suitable for beginners like us. We were lucky enough to enjoy perfect weather, made frequent stops to discuss points of interest along the route, and enjoyed some wonderful locally made ice cream! The tour finished with lunch in a delightful historic village. We couldn't have wished for better hospitality, and would thoroughly recommend RockVelo to anyone who wants to get out for an exciting and educatonal ride in the countryside whilst on holiday. The bikes were very good and nice that you also get a route! We had children aged 1 and 4 and they had a seat and a for them. Nice bike ride all day.

My husband, son, and I did RockVelo's E-bike Vipava River Tour and loved it. We're daily cyclists at home and really enjoyed exploring this corner of Slovenia by bike. Alex was easy to connect with and coordinate the tour and our guide, Rok, was excellent. The valley is beautiful and we'd definitely recommend exploring it with Rockvelo!

Normally we do not book a guide for our MTB tours. In this area, however, this is highly recommended. Rockvelo is definitely in the best hands for this, even if it should be a little more demanding. Without a guide we would never have found these fantastic trails. Alex is a great companion for the whole day. Price is fair and reasonable.
