Ga met ons op een elektrische fiets voor een spannende dagtrip en bereik een parel van de Romeinse kastelen, Castel Gandolfo. We beginnen onze tour door te fietsen langs de legendarische Via Appia Antica. Bewonder de oude graven, de majestueuze aquadoten en de overblijfselen van Romeinse villa's, terwijl uw gids fascinerende verhalen vertelt. De chaos van de hoofdstad is ver weg, en als we fietsen komen we voor een oase van vrede: Castel Gandolfo. Hier, het middeleeuwse dorp en het uitzicht op het kristalheldere meer zal u verrassen door schoonheid en authenticiteit. Zorg ervoor dat uw smaakpapillen met de typische lokale gerechten tijdens de lunchpauze, uw gids kan u een geweldige Osteria aanraden als u liever een traditionele maaltijd of andere kiosken waar u authentieke producten van de Romeinse kastelen kunt proeven. We zullen comfortabel terugkeren naar Rome met de trein, de foto's van de prachtige ervaring die we zojuist hebben meegemaakt en genieten van de energie en vitaliteit die deze plaatsen ons hebben gegeven!

Bewonder de buitenkant van dit iconische mausoleum uit de 1e eeuw voor Christus, een symbool van de oude Via Appia. We zullen even stilstaan om de enorme, ronde structuur en de latere transformatie tot middeleeuws fort te bewonderen, en meer te weten komen over de Romeinse edelvrouw die er geëerd wordt.
We stoppen bij deze charmante archeologische vindplaats, een vredige oase met de overblijfselen van een oud Romeins thermisch complex uit de 2e eeuw na Christus. U kunt de elegante mozaïekvloeren bewonderen en de geschiedenis van deze villa in de buitenwijk ontdekken, te midden van het weelderige groen en de rust van het Via Appia-park.
Aankomst op de Via Appia Antica, de belangrijkste straat in het oude Rome. Loop dit prachtige pad vol met oude historische artefacten. Ontmoet kerken, mausolea en zelfs een oude arena en hoor de fascinerende verhalen erover. Geniet van deze unieke ervaring, rijdend op je e-bike tussen de oude Romeinse overblijfselen

- Maximale groepsgrootte: De limiet is vastgesteld op 8 gasten per gids om een persoonlijke ervaring te garanderen. We kunnen flexibel zijn (1-2 extra gasten) om te voorkomen dat we familie-/groepsboekingen moeten splitsen. De tour kan echter ook doorgaan met minder dan 6 personen.
- Route: Ongeveer 60% van de route vindt plaats over de historische Via Appia. De route is zorgvuldig uitgekozen. Houd er echter rekening mee dat u op het traject dat de Via Appia met het Lago Albano verbindt, onvermijdelijk verkeer op de openbare weg tegenkomt.
- Wijzigingen: De reisroute kan worden gewijzigd vanwege de veiligheid of externe gebeurtenissen.
- Niveau: Basis- tot gemiddelde fietsvaardigheden vereist (fietsen op het platteland/off-road).
- Gids : Verplichte test vóór vertrek. De gids kan deelname weigeren (zonder restitutie) vanwege slechte bekwaamheid of gezondheidsproblemen.
- Leeftijd voor deelname: Deelnemers moeten tussen de 16 en 79 jaar oud zijn.
- NIET INBEGREPEN: (A) eten en drinken, zodat u meer vrijheid heeft om te kiezen wat (en hoeveel) u wilt eten. De prijs van alles wat we proeven ligt meestal rond de € 20 – € 25. (B) Het retourticket voor de trein is voor rekening van de deelnemers en is niet inbegrepen in de reissom. De kosten bedragen maximaal € 3,-.

We had an absolutely fantastic day cycling from Rome along the Appian Way to Castel Gandolfo and back, and Alessio made the experience unforgettable. Fun and informative day rain or shine! Great guide! The aqueduct park was sensational. A few more busy roads than we were expecting as we did the full tour up to Gandolfo and the lake but all and all a wonderful day!
