Durmitor is een berg- en nationaal park in Montenegro. Er wordt aangenomen dat de naam Durmitor afkomstig is van het Keltische woord dat "een berg vol water" betekent. Durmitor, die door zijn schoonheid en integriteit een zeldzaam en authentiek onderdeel van de natuur is, werd in 1952 uitgeroepen tot nationaal park. Bobotov kuk 2.523 meter hoog is de hoogste top van het Durmitor-bergmassief. Het is ook de hoogste top van Montenegro.

Reisinformatie: baanlengte: 12 km, maximale hoogte: 2523 m, gewicht: gemiddeld, beschikbaarheid: het hele jaar door. Deze bergwandeling begint vanuit de bocht van Sedlo, naar het noorden, met een milde klim. Al bij het begin zullen we genieten van de schoonheid van het landschap, we zullen gras, weidepaden en scherpe rotsachtige wegen passeren. We strekken ons uit onder de rotsen, waarna we de prachtige vallei van "Surutka" betreden van waaruit het figuur van ons doel wordt opgezocht - Bobotov kuk. Op weg naar de hoogste top vinden we de bronnen en worden we verfrist met drinkwater uit de bergen. Bobotov Kuk samen met pieken '' No Name '' Peak (2487 m) en '' Damsel '' (Soa, 2440 m) vormen de hoogste rotsachtige heuvelrug van Durmitor genaamd Soa Heavenly, wat "The Underlay of the Sky" betekent . We zullen genieten van het uitzicht op de Škrčka-meren, die "bergogen" worden genoemd met de rest van de Durmitor-merengroep (in totaal 18 gletsjermeren). Vanaf de toppen van Durmitor is er een prachtig uitzicht in alle richtingen, die je zeker zult doordringen met geweldige foto's! Neem deel aan de favoriete bergtocht onder toeristen! De tour is middelmatig tot zwaar geconditioneerd. Het hoogteverschil dat van Sedlo naar de top gaat, is 820 m. De laatste klim is technisch veeleisender (de laatste 20 minuten van de klim naar de top), rotsachtig en vereist echter voorzichtigheid: het parcours heeft voldoende ruimte om te lopen in zijn hele koers, het is beveiligd en heeft ruimte voor een veilige stap zodat het is niet riskant en technisch veeleisend. Opmerking: de tour duurt 5 - 6 uur + tijd voor transfer, afhankelijk van de stad van uw accommodatie. Moet meenemen: comfortabele schoenen, sneakers of klimschoenen. Water, eten en een goed humeur voor onvergetelijk genot!

Hiking to Bobotov Kuk (2,523 m), the iconic summit of the Durmitor, is an unforgettable experience, but reserved for fit hikers. The departure from the Prevoj Sedlo car park immediately sets the tone with a first steep passage, secured by cables, which requires a little attention but can be crossed without much difficulty. After this physical beginning, the natural spectacle is constant: grandiose landscapes pass between rocky ridges, green valleys and steep cliffs. Sometimes we meet a few ibex or chamois, adding to this impression of evolving in a territory still wild. The last part is the most technical, with a very steep final wall to climb. Nothing insurmountable in dry weather, but we must remain vigilant, especially on the latest nevées. Arrival at the summit rewards all efforts: a breathtaking 360° view of the entire massif and the surrounding reliefs (literally!). In short: a splendid and demanding hike, which makes a lasting impression on people.

Fantastic guided hike through this company. Guide (Zdravko) was brilliant...set a pace that matched our skills..took photos the entire way .. explained a lot about the history of the area and the plant species etc (even recommend a fantastic wine for the evening!).
