Very nice day out to the waterfall and spice plantation Private pick up was great driver was on Time and very polite he took us to both locations & Dropped us off & picked us after our visits waterfall was beautiful but was not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties as you have to step onto rocks to get there .The spice plantation guide was very informative of the spices grown there & benefits it can give us if taken we also had a traditional Indian meal they had both vegetarian and non vegetarian both was very nice I recommend this trip anyone who likes a day out
From the very start date the point of booking it was a complete shambles. No clear communication about pick up venues... 6am start so dark and not great for hanging around. A clapped out coach eventually picked us up ..being the only 2 English speaking tourists despite requesting and English tour, we lacked any information throughout the day. We stopped for a pointless look at a church which you could only see from the road, then after an hour a breakfast stop not included and im sure was a relative of the driver or 'guide' ..quite frankly not a place you would want to stop at! At the jeeps we were then told ..just my friend and I that they were splitting us up in the jeeps due to numbers and not wishing to split other couples or families... there were 6 jeeps 7 per vehicle..we were very upset and angry 😠 as we were the only English speaking people. They refused to back down telling us it was only 10 minutes in the jeep... which it wasn't it was 45 mins each way ..longed if you include waiting around etc. The jeep trip to waterfalls was great however incredibly crowded due to holiday week (Diwali) we swam which was great. Getting to falls by foot is a challenge but worth it. Many guests on our bus returned back late to bus so a long time waiting fir them guide did nothing to rush them or round them up. Spice plantation was OK... food good but didn't really need to go there. Just padding out the day ..which was too long. On the way back got caught up in traffic, our guide simply got off coach without a word. The company do not care about your enjoyment and have no accountability on the day ! Taxis are cheap..perhaps visit waterfalls that way !
On arriving at the waterfall base station, we were left waiting for nearly 30 minutes before boarding a Jeep with lifejackets for the trip to the waterfall. The trip to the waterfall took around 45 minutes, when we arrived there were cubicles for changing , the walk to the falls is not for the faint hearted and if you have any walking problems this trip is not for you ! When we arrived at the waterfall, the next challenge was getting in, this was not easy, monkeys always an issue if you leave you bag unguarded. You get 1.5 hours at the waterfall, but it takes 20 minutes to walk each way. Then another 45 minutes of jarring Jeep travel back down.
Very nice beach view nice beach eco friendly people friendly approch nice parking facilities nice photography site and cenerioa
This was a terrible experience. When booking, the conditions clearly stated that hotel pick-up was included. But after payment, the terms suddenly changed. Instead of taking responsibility, the company blames everyone else — customer support, partners, 'system errors' — anyone but themselves. Total lack of accountability. I even provided screenshots confirming hotel pick-up, but that didn’t matter. This feels like a scam. Avoid these people — misleading, unreliable, and dishonest!
There were two parts to this experience. PART 1: The Dudhsagar Waterfalls part was not worth the time or money. We went in winter (January). The waterfalls were not impressive. Later, people told us the waterflow is higher in the wet season, but even then I cannot see how this place would be worth the trip, unless maybe, if you were very close to there anyway. Someone told us there is a train that goes directly in front of the waterfalls and it stops at the falls to allow people to take pictures. Maybe that would be worthwhile. Here are the problems with this tour. 1. It is called "Dudhsagar Waterfalls, Jeep Safari & Spice Plantation private tour". What you really get is a private taxi to take you to the town just outside the falls, then from the town to the spice plantation, and from the spice plantation back to your pick-up point. One good point is that they picked us up from a private home where we were staying in North Goa. At the place outside the falls, we discovered that our private tour did not include a private jeep. You get a jeep in the town, that takes you into the park. There were two of us but the jeep was shared with about 6 or 7 other people. We called the company to complain and were told the Jeep was not private. This is not specified in the itinerary or inclusions & exclusions. So, we paid extra to get a private jeep. Once, at the park, there was an additional fee/tax of INR 100 for each of us (so INR 200), and then they charged me a fee (deposit?) of INR 200 for using my GoPro (I think the fee for a non-video camera was INR 50). But really, doesn't everyone's phone have video and still pictures? Then, I got refunded INR 200 when I exited the park. So, not sure what that was about. The drive into the park was on a terrible road. Very bumpy, tossing us in all directions and the rear seat had no working seatbelt. There were a few cool water crossings. Once at the trail head, you are walking over a very rocky trail. While there are latrine toilets at one point on the trail, the trail smelled like urine. At the end of the trail, there was a place to view the falls and a place where people were swimming. It was very crowded. PART 2: The spice plantation was quite interesting. We paid an entrance fee of 2 x INR 500 = INR 1000, and we received a receipt for this. We checked the Itinerary for the trip later, and it clearly said on the tour details that the entry to the spice farm is included in the price. It does not mention in the spice farm entry fee either way in the Inclusions & Exclusions. In summary, the falls were not worthwhile, the spice plantation was, the drive through the countryside was interesting. There were discrepancies/lack of clarification on what was included in the tour.
Very long drive to get there. Which isn’t that bad as we had the private taxi there But just note that when you book private. It doesn’t mean that it’s a private jeep tour aswell. That’s shares. Unless you want to pay around £40 extra which is a rip off considering how much you’ve already paid for this tour. Our jeep guide made no effort to speak to us, and another person on the tour did the translating for us as we were about to get charged for extra things that we didn’t need to be charged for. The spice plantation was lovely, the tour code there was very knowledgable and it was really interesting
A two hour trip to the falls but plenty to see on the way. Keep ride to falls was exhilarating as driver kept up a good pace! Walk to the falls is 15 mins and you need good shoes and good balance. Swimming area was very busy. Would be great to see falls in wet season when they are more spectacular.
We saw this from Goa express train and this was an amazing experience. As per opinion the best you can see this when travelling by train.
