Een privé en volledig begeleide whisky- en biertour door Dublin in directievervoer, waarbij de beroemdste exportproducten van de stad worden gevierd: Jameson Whiskey en Guinness Beer. Het is een stadstour met whisky en bier in het hart. Je gastheer zal de stad tot leven brengen terwijl je door veel verschillende wijken van Dublin reist. Dit is een privétour alleen voor jou en je reisgenoten (met gedeelde tour bij Jameson Distillery Bow St. en privétour bij Guinness Storehouse). We arriveren iets na 10.00 uur in Guinness Storehouse, vóór de massa. Maar maak je geen zorgen, we gaan niet meteen bier drinken als dat voor jou wat vroeg op de dag klinkt! Uw gastheer neemt u mee op een privérondleiding door Guinness Storehouse. Daarna reizen we over de rivier de Liffey naar Smithfield – naar de oorspronkelijke thuisbasis van Jameson Irish Whiskey. Je gastheer neemt je mee op een wandeling door de gebouwen en deelt ‘voorkennis’ van het Jameson-verhaal, waarna je deelneemt aan de Bow St. Experience-tour.

NB - deze tour is niet geschikt voor cruisepassagiers, maar we hebben wel een versie van deze tour die kan worden geboekt als cruise-excursie vanuit de veerhavens van Dublin, boekbaar op Viator. We worked with a travel agent to plan our Ireland honeymoon. She booked us with Whiskey Island for our private Guinness and Jameson Whiskey tour and we couldn't have been happier! John was an absolute delight! It was my husband's favorite part of the trip. John was very professional, informative, great with people - he is well-known at Guinness! It was a great experience. We also chatted with him about lunch spots after the tour and he provided a list of recommendations. We did go to one of the restaurants and it was great food! My husband and I both agreed that if we make our way back to Ireland with friends next time, we will be calling John up!
John was an absolute pleasure as my guide for the day. He was very punctual, informative and friendly. He provided me with several great recommendations, in addition to the actual tour itself. The tours at Guinness and Jameson were well planned, informative and fun! Enjoyed the samplings and buying at the gift stores. People were friendly. Liked being able to go as fast or slow as we wanted, seeing the exhibitions. Understanding the history of the families and their influence on Ireland was impressive. Liked being picked up and taken back to hotel, made it easy to enjoy our time.

We began with a good orientation, followed by an unhurried walk. The city is fascinating and well worth the time. Our guide knew everything we were interested in and was very cordial. No time pressure. Highly recommended. Well worth the price.
